Customer Review: Really stung, not just at first but with any letdown reflex

I didn't like these at all--they stung my sore nipples a lot as soon as I applied them, and then even though they would eventually calm down they would then re-sting me anytime I had some letdown reflex later on. It also grossed me out that they just absorbed milky residue and you couldn't really rinse them off (as per the instructions). Seems like a recipe for yeast infection to me: moist, sugary/milky environment. I SOOOO much prefer the Ameda Comfort Gel pads, they are extremely comfortable, no stinging, can be rinsed off with each feeding, and lasted for a week of continuous (24/7) wearing.
