Baby Products Reviews of Snug Tub Deluxe - DuckyCustomer Review: Excellent Infant Tub Summary: 5 Stars
I've been searching for the perfect tub for my baby and I think I've found it! We've been using a plastic reclined tub since he was born, but he has clearly outgrown it. I tried one of those seat tubs(?), but he hated it and it seemed to scratch his legs ... TERRIBLE tub. Thankfully I was able to return that one. I found this one here on Amazon and reluctantly purchased it. Glad I did!! It allows a lot more freedom for him to explore and play (now that he can sit up unsupported). Bath time has become much more fun ... for both mom & baby!
UPDATE : i first reviewed this after we purchased the item. I've been using it for just over 1 month now and one of the seams has already torn. I don't think i've used this item improperly to cause it to happen sooner than "expected". Unfortunately, the patch-kit piece that came with the tub is significantly too small to patch it up completely. Very unfortunate because we loved the tub.
New rating : 3 stars because of how quickly the seam tore
Customer Review: A definite must or baby shower gift! Summary: 5 Stars
Awesome tub, super useful for the little ones, helps to make them feel secure until they're bigger and able to handle the vastness of adult size bathing. I tried hanging it up and it worked a few times, now I just place it out in the hall when I need to use the shower or bath. No biggie. Drains fast, requires a spritz of bleach spray every now and then to get rid of the mold...mine has had two holes so far and I patched both, no problem. Our child has been using this since she was about 3 or 4 months old and is now almost 23 months). I'm sure we'll be using it for another five or six, maybe more. The little inflatable stacking rings are kind of dumb -those were lost within a few months but she had fun with them while they lasted. I would definitely give this as a baby shower gift. Also used it for travel and it deflated to almost nothing, very easy to pack. I also used it outside as a little swimming pool before she walked. VERY HANDY.
Customer Review: Great Buy! Summary: 4 Stars
This inexpensive tub works great! comfortable for our 7-month old, fits in big tub without trouble. Our son loves the ducky on the side... won't take his eyes or hands off it during bath time. He really enjoys being able to sit up in his own little tub now. We really enjoy it because we don't have to worry so much about him sitting up in the big tub. This tub is sized so that it supports him on 3 sides so if he wobbles a little, he won't completely tip over (at 7 months, he's not an EXPERT at sitting up yet).
Cons: had to cut up a cheap bath mat and put it in the bottom of this tub. The bottom was a little too slippery. Used that suggestion from another reviewer. Works great, thanks. Also, our tub faucet isn't quite long enough to fill this while it's in the big tub. We cut one side out of a cheap tupperwear container and created a little channel that allows the faucity flow to reach the baby tub.
Customer Review: Great tub! Summary: 5 Stars
We've loved this tub since day one. My daughter is 10 months and we went from the infant reclining tub, to the kitchen sink, to this tub. I would recommend it to anyone. She loves the freedom of being able to stretch out and splash and wiggle around. She has wiggled herself onto her side and stomach and I love having the piece of mind that she's not going to hit her head on the hard bathtub. It also saves a lot on water since you don't have to fill the whole tub. I feel the tub is made out of a very durable plastic. As far as the rings that are included and the ring holder and duck on the side of the tub, I don't have a positive or negative oppinion. We don't use them or atleast we haven't yet. My daughter is too pre-occupied with splashing and playing with her toys.
Again, I would recommend this to anyone with a small child just make sure he/she is old enough and strong enough to sit up.
Customer Review: NO Better Tub than THIS! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a tub just like this off of Babycenter last year with the ducky pattern. As soon as my son outgrew his Safer Bather (ie, could sit up reliably), we put him in this tub for baths. I tried one of those hard blue shaped tubs that my neighbor gave to me...he wiggled around and I had to use at least one hand to keep him in the tub. This one is great. He can sit in it and play with his toys easily. It's inflatable so most likely a slip will land the child on air, not porcelain. I was worried about teeth puncturing the tub, but even though he's up to 14 teeth, we still have no puctures. This tub is comfy enough to make bathtime fun but also saves water over using the full-size bathtub. Another HUGE plus, in between kids or for travel, this can be deflated and stored easliy. I would HIGHLY recommend this tub to anyone whose child can sit up, and the Safer Bather product for newborns.
