Customer Review: They should call this the "Bare Minimum Diaper Bag" - it's great

It holds everything you need to have if you step out of the house with the baby for a short trip in the neighborhood: a couple of diapers, wipes, changing pad, hand sanitizer and plastic bag for dirty diapers. That makes it easy to see what you need tp replenish after a trip and it's also great for carrying in your regular diaper bag with all the other stuff that you carry for longer trips outside the house (extra set of clean clothes, blanket, burp cloth, etc). That way, when you need to do a diaper change, you don't have to rummage around the huge bag for each individual item you'll need...you just grab the Skip Hop bag and can head to the restaurant's changing table with just that and the baby. The wipes container seems to be pretty air tight (I was worried about this when I ordered the diaper bag). I've had wipes stay wet and fresh for a couple weeks in there, no problem. This is a great gift for baby showers!Customer Review: Good product except it broke within a month!

The bag is great - the changing mat is thick, relatively big, the mesh pocket was good for 2-3 diapers (even at size 4+), I was able to fit a huggies travel wipes case in it without any problems. however, the seam of the front pocket frayed and eventually came undone after a month of use - non-use, actually, since the pocket wouldn't hold anything if the bag was full with diapers and wipes. I contacted SkipHop 2-3 times about it but did not hear back from them at all - I didn't expect them to replace it, but it would've been nice to receive an apology and some sort of discount for a replacement product. I continued using the bag even without a functional front pocket (which would've been great for a driver's licence, a couple of band-aids, chap stick, or other very small items) but was disappointed by the quality given the cost.Customer Review: Not what I expected

As soon as I received this diaper changing pad, I noticed that the fabric at the ends of the zipper was fraying. Within a couple of days, there was a lot of frayed material hanging off the changing pad, and I had to use a match to melt the fabric to stop the fraying. Poor quality construction.
As far as design, this changing pad is very small. My average-sized one year old does not fit on the changing pad anymore, making this worthless to me. With the average age of potty training being north of 2 years old, it makes no sense for this changing pad to be so small, and at a minimum it should be labeled for use by young infants only. The "plus sign" style of the changing pad also means less coverage underneath your child.
All in all, this is over-hyped and did not live up to expectations.

This changer is very convenient for outings, daily use and travel. I have used this on numerous plane trips and it works out every time. Its great to have something compact so that I don't have to bring an entire diaper bag into an aircraft lavatory. It holds enough of what is needed for a diaper change (then you can refill as needed from your huge diaper bag). I have also given this as baby shower gifts and this changer is well received. If you think that this will replace a diaper bag full of clothes, sippy cups, food etc then you are sadly mistaken. It is great for quick trips when an entire diaper bag is not necessary (as baby gets older). It is also useful to keep in the car for spare diapers, wipes and creams.Customer Review: Good design, but poor quality & customer service

I like the design and convenience of this diaper changing pad, but after 1 month, the seam on the front pocket began unraveling leaving a hole in the front pocket. I contacted Skip Hop for a replacement. Customer service did not reply for 1 month. They arranged for me to return the product before I could receive a replacement. It is now 3 months later and I still have not received a replacement after contacting them numerous times.
I also have a Skip Hop diaper bag which I've recently noticed has a defective buckle. It comes unlatched while I'm carrying it and the bag falls to the ground. Since their customer service is so poor, I've just switched to using another bag rather than to deal w/ another return.
