The Skip Hop DASH sports a hip, urban style with great functionality. With eleven roomy pockets, there is space for everything a baby needs, and a zippered compartment protects mom and dad's personal items. The Deluxe Edition includes the new Shuttle Clips; a unique strap and fastening system that allows the DASH to attach neatly and conveniently to the handlebars of any stroller and then convert into a cool, hip messenger-style diaper bag. When attached to the stroller, you can leave the shoulder strap attached or remove it for a cleaner look. The Dash now includes new magnetic closures throughout and a comfy shoulder pad.

Customer Review: Marginally better than a plastic bag, but not worth the cost

We were convinced by friends that a diaper bag would be the single most important purchase of our baby gear. Reviews of Skip Hops all seemed really good, so we got a Dash Deluxe (different fabric, same design). After a few months of using this I came to really dislike the bag, and discontinued usage entirely after a friend gave us a second-hand much cheaper diaper bag. Here's why:
CONS
1. After three months of usage the fabric along all of the seams was fraying. It looked terrible. We did not use it in any unusual ways, just carrying to the car or walking on the stroller.
2. The flap is secured with a magnet, which seemed like a good idea until I realized that once it was packed with even a moderate amount of things, it would not stay closed.
3. What I hated most was that none of the pockets were ever the right shape, size, or placement for what I really needed when carrying the standard assortment of baby supplies. They were too deep, too shallow, or just the wrong orientation. On the back of ours there are a series of two zippers that run horizontally across the bag, creating very long, very shallow pockets. If I were carrying paintbrushes i'm sure they would have been perfect, but as it was? not what I needed or wanted.
4. The bag comes in slightly at the top, and had the effect of creating little pockets of space where things would slip down or get lost from sight and be very difficult to find, even if I took everything out of the bag.
PROS
1. The bag attaches well to a stroller with little clips that otherwise hide inside the bag near where the straps attach to the bag so that it hangs well and you dont kick it with your feet while walking (on the con side, I was forever unclipping the strap by accident when I was trying to release the small stroller strap clips.)
2. Attractive hip fabric choices (at least until they fray)
3. Relatively gender neutral. This is the big plus. My hubs felt fine carrying this one.
4. Decent shoulder padding on the strap (though some people find it too bulky, I thought it was fine)
ULTIMATELY: this is a really pricey bag that frays within months and has pockets that dont seem to be created with the actual user in mind at all. You can get a much more functional, sturdy and attractive bag at half the price with other options.
