The Simmons Kids furnature line is superior and the quality is excellent. I just can't say enough about it. We purchased the Serenade crib and dresser for my son two years ago after a long search and were so satisfied with that purchase that we just bought the Valencia crib and combo dresser for our new little one. It is beautiful. I like the fact that the pieces are made of solid hard wood (not a soft pine, for example) so it does not scratch. Also the dresser/chest is all one piece so there is no assemble required, just screw on the legs. The drawers are dovetail and the slides on the drawers are very smooth and do not come off of the track. If you are looking for furnature that will truly grow with your child and last, this is the way to go. It's worth spending a little bit of extra money for that satisfaction. My only suggestion is to purchase the conversion kit and toddler rail when you buy they set because I did not do that with my son's set and it was extremely difficult to order it after the fact. I wish that those pieces were easier to order.
