Description of Sevi Guiro Toy
The guiro is a light, simple percussion instrument which is commonly used in Latin American music. Usually made from gourds, this wooden version is played by running a drumstick along the raised ribs of the cylindrical instrument, at different speeds to obtain different sounds. Great fun, and also a great addition to any children's band set. Made of wood and painted with completely non-toxic, food-grade paints and finishes. Designed by the venerable Italian company, Sevi and made in China under the company's direct supervision. Sevi, based in Tarcento, Italy near the Prealpi Giulie Mountains, has been crafting luxury children's toys since 1831.
