I bought this box a bit under 2 years ago... ended up buying a second one because I liked it so much! I didn't have any smell issue. I agree with the other posters that if you want a box that will hold its shape and is easy to close, you should probably not get it, as big toys can definitely alter its shape and make it hard to close the lid. But if you want a nice box to just hold toys without worrying about your child getting fingers pinched or falling on a corner, it's a must-buy - plus we never really cared about a toy box we could close anyway, and it sure beats large plastic bins.Customer Review: Great toy box

We got this for our 9 month old son right after Christmas. We had used a cheap $10 canvas storage bin, but with all the new toys he got for Christmas, we needed something bigger. This toy box is awesome. It is alot deeper than it looks, and it too space consuming. One of the sides has a velcro flap that you can pull off and it becomes a little mat that looks like a road. The side has balloons and a detachable mirrored sun and my son loves to take the fun off and chew on it. This box will definitely help as he gets older and accumulates more toys.Customer Review: Very convenient box

We live in a Georgian style home and our son has toys on every floor! We were trying to contain them in cardboard boxes (as the lovely toy chest he was given is already full). I have now purchased two of these Sassy toy organizers and they are great! They are inexpensive and easy to set up. They hold way more than they appear to and they even have a flip down front part that children can use to play on. And they are cute! No they don't necessarily match our decor but they aren't really meant for that, are they? lolCustomer Review: Disappointed

I have to agree that the box is great looking, better than a rubbermaid tub but I am disappointed with the smell the box has and also that it's not as sturdy as I would hope. My box is kinda out of shape now and the velcro divider that holds it together doesn't hold it together anymore which means the lid doesn't close properly. I've only had this box just over a year and it's now in a spare room with not too many toys in it because I don't like that it didn't hold it's shape.Customer Review: Sassy Soft Sided Toy Box Works Well

My son is almost 1 and we had toys all over the living room until I purchased this toy box/organizer. We now have a neater living room and it is easy for my son to get toys out on his own. The removable tote that comes in the inside was great to carry his toys in when we recently drove to Florida. I am sure he will enjoy the little town that folds down on the front when he is a bit older. The best thing about this product is it much safer than a traditional wooden toy box.
