Customer Review: Great until Baby can reach and pull!

This mirror was great for the first few months of my daughter's life, but now that she can reach and grab things, she has pulled it down on herself or scooted it away so she can't see the mirror anymore. It doesn't stand on its own very well; like I mentioned, it is easily pulled down and that orange rattle can hurt when it hits a tiny face! The sunshine that squeaks is useless-- it is even hard for me to push and squeak! I haven't tried tying it to the crib yet, but the ties seem awfully short. I'd say this is a fine mirror to start with but as your baby really wants to engage and touch things, this mirror is too easily pulled down and moved, especially when it's on the floor.Customer Review: This is a great way to wake up!

My daughter has had this toy since she was around 2 months old. I have it in her crib. When she wakes up, she looks at it/herself in the mirror and is fascinated. It keeps her from crying when she wakes. She really likes it, and now that she is 3 months, she is trying so hard to reach out and touch the toys. I think it will keep her occupied even as she gets older.Customer Review: Well Worth the Money!

I just bought this for our baby after noticing how much she loves the mirror on a different toy.
Now I can lay her down in her crib while she is awake and she entertains herself ratehr than fussing.
Well worth the $12.99 price tag.

My baby LOVED this toy when she was younger. She loved to stare at herself in the mirror. I propped it up next to her changing table as nice distraction while I changed her. Then, she started playing with the ball and became obsessed with it. A few weeks later, she discovered how much fun the velcroed bird was to take off every time I stuck it back up. About a month later, she started putting the ring into her mouth and gumming it. So, it's a toy that grows with your baby a little bit. She still plays with it at 6 months, but not as much.
I would have given it 4 stars, if it weren't for the simple fact that, unlike what the product description claims, the darn thing will NOT sit up on its own. It also has these very short straps that are supposed to allow you to tie it to the crib...they are much too short to do that.
If those things were changed, this would be a perfect toy and would be given to every expectant mother I knew!

Our twins LOVE this mirror. We have three - one for each crib and one by the diaper changing table. They started smiling at themselves by the diaper table just after they were two months old and now that they are 6 months old, they also play with the toys hanging off of it. The best part is that they have entertained themselves in their cribs for quite a while both in the evenings before they fall asleep and in the mornings before we need to come and get them. This mirror has been GREAT and what a sanity-saver since the girls can keep themselves happy in their cribs for a while.
