I received this toy as a hand me down and we have used it daily since my husband deployed the morning after our son hit 4 weeks. We have it propped open on the floor with a black and white photograph of Daddy's face in the frame for him to look at during tummy time. While he looks at the photo I talk to him about how that is Daddy and how much Daddy misses him and occasionally I play recordings of my husband's voice during tummy time as well. It is one of several things we're doing to make sure he knows who Daddy is when he returns when our son is 13 months old. My son also likes the purple ring that is attached to the side because it is small enough for him to grab. Customer Review: Great Product

My son loves to gaze at this colorful, fun shaped mirror but since this item was made to be tied to his crib, the purple (detachable) bird and the teething ring will not extend far enough for my son to play with. Both purple bird and teething ring are attached to the console via nylon ribbon. I really wish the designer would place the bird and teething ring dangling at the same edge so it is easier for infants to grasp and chew on.Customer Review: Great mirror - worth the money

My twins have been using this since @ 4 weeks old. You can tie the mirror to the crib or other objects (I also tied it to the playmat)...or you can stand it up on the floor. I like the fact that it can be angled. You can use this for tummy time and angle the mirror where it will pick up the ceiling fan above you...kids love watching ceiling fans. I feel this mirror can be used in lots of places and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
