This fun toy from Sassy is a great way for Baby to meet someone very special-himself! The mirror is angled to give Baby a close-up view of himself as well as the small brightly colored stuffed animals keeping watch in each of the corners. Baby can watch his or her facial movements while cooing, which helps make the connection between sounds and mouth movements and helps develop talking. The toy also teaches about textures and colors. I received this toy as a hand me down and we have used it daily since my husband deployed the morning after our son hit 4 weeks. We have it propped open on the floor with a black and white photograph of Daddy's face in the frame for him to look at during tummy time. While he looks at the photo I talk to him about how that is Daddy and how much Daddy misses him and occasionally I play recordings of my husband's voice during tummy time as well. It is one of several things we're doing to make sure he knows who Daddy is when he returns when our son is 13 months old. My son also likes the purple ring that is attached to the side because it is small enough for him to grab.
