I bought this set to use for my 2 year old daughter's preschool lunches. It will work well as a toddler bento container. The interior lids are difficult to remove, and will require adult assitance.
Please be aware that the colors may vary from the photo shown. The container I received (in spring of 2009) did not have a pink inside container (they were yellow, lime green and orange) and the lid to the outside container was the same color blue as the bottom (actually more of a teal than the sea-blue pictured). It was overall more gender neutral than the one shown. :)

I've had a couple of these over the past 3 years and I use them to pack my son's lunch for day care. The containers are nicely sized for toddler and preschooler portions and I like how cheerful and neat it looks. We don't use the spoon much either (they use disposable spoons at day care anyway), and it is a little oddly shaped, but it works OK. We've lost a few of the little containers over the years but the big containers still work fine for things like cheese, crackers and carrot sticks, or half a sandwich on one side and apple slices on the other.Customer Review: it's a good idea...

This item is a great idea, but a few flaws. first, the containers are pretty hard to open. i was hoping that my older child could also use this for lunch, but I am not sure she can open it without spilling it, and she is almost 5. It is sized best for babies, and then I am wondering if one would really use all the parts for a baby, because it would hold a lot of baby/toddler food. Anyway, I think it meets a need, but not sure how much more valuable this is than regular tupperware-type containers.Customer Review: Great Product

I love these containers. They are perfect for packing my 1 year old son a meal when we go places. Since they have invidual dishes that go inside, they are great for packing hot and cold foods together. I can just take out the cold dishes before microwaving. I also use the small inside containers as snack containers. The lids seal very well too. They may not be tupperware but I have never had anything leak. I bought four containers and so far I love them and both of my son's grandmas love them.Customer Review: Hard to Open Small Containers

I had to return these containers because I couldn't get the smaller containers to open which would mean that it would be impossible for my child to open on his own. There is no lip on the smaller container to help open the lid. Also, the divider of the biggest container does not go all the way up to the top so it does not effectively separate the food. I prefer the Sassy EZ Grip Infant Bowl. The divider in that bowl goes to the top and the handle allows for easy opening of the lid.
