Customer Review: very very disappointed and deceived

I read all the reviews for this set of toys and looked very carefully at the pictures online, which is why I decided to include it in my baby registry. However, when we did finally get the toy it was truly disappointing because half the things that they show in the pictures were not actually there. The duckie was replaced with a very crude pig which is far from the cute piggy that comes to a readers mind. And the hippo and octopus are just not there. All the toys including the teething rings were very low quality and the plastic seemed dirty and out-of-shape. Infact, as I was looking over everything, the recurring thought in my mind was: I will probably have to incinerate these toys just to sterilize them. And to top it all off, I realized that we truly did not get our money's worth because I know for a fact that for 40 bucks (which is what this play set is worth) we could get really good stuff from other companies like Lamaze etc which are made with alot more care and thought to the baby's development and play.
All in all, we felt truly deceived by this company Sassy because firstly they did not honestly display all the toys that they actually include in the box and secondly, for the kind of crap they sent, they are over charging the consumers like crazy. I don't think this toy even deserves one star but they don't have a rating lower than that, unfortunately.
Customer Review: Great Toy Set, a Little Bit of Everything

The Sassy Baby's First Toys is a great collection that we received for a shower gift. The only complaint we have is that some of the toys rated "infant to 3 months" are not able to be sanitized before use, so we are going to wait until she is older to give her those toys. They categorize the toys as motor skills, thinking, interacting & feeling, or communication toys with about 3-4 toys in each category. 7 of the toys are rated birth and up (3 rattles, 3 teethers, and 1 set of linking letters), 4 are 3+ months (wobble bobble sprout, keys, and 2 rattles), 2 are 6+ months (roll-along pig and chime ball), and 1 (the wallet) is 9+ months. For the infant rated toys, only the 3 teethers can be sanitized. Only 1 of the infant rattles & the linking letters can be immersed in soapy water. The other 2 rattles are not supposed to be immersed in water, and can only be cleaned with a damp cloth. So depending on how you feel about sanitizing toys for babies under 2-3 months old, you may have to wait a while to give some of the toys to your child. But the set is very colorful with lots of textures and sounds to entertain. It's a great addition to the nursery and we're glad we got these toys at the shower.Customer Review: Fun toys, not as advertised

I would call this box of toys mediocre here's the good and the bad.
Good:
1. My son's favorite toys came from this box. Even now at 7 months, he loves the teething bird, the rattle and the pig that came instead of the ducky.
2. Thank goodness for the letters! Not only were they fun-textured, but we used them to hang the toys on his play gym lower.
3. Several of the toys have been pretty well abused and show no signs of wear.
4.It's a nice variety of easy-to-throw-in-the-diaper-bag toys - small enough he can carry them with him into the carseat.
Bad:
1. Definitely did not get all the toys in the picture, no ducks, no octopus, and didn't get the thing in the picture with what looks like 3 stuffed cubes. We did get a stuffed pig on wheels that is not in the picture, and one rattle instead of one of the ones in the picture, but it's definitely less overall.
2. The letters came in handy, but really aren't fun toys.
It's probably not worth $39.99 - I got it as a gift and would say it's worth $19.99 - so maybe pick it up if you can find in on sale.
Customer Review: A Great Assortment of Baby Toys

I bought this set before my son was born and couldn't wait to show him all of the bright, colorful toys. When he was a few weeks old, we held the rattles in front of him, and he stared at them in amazement. Eventually he learned to hold and shake them on his own, and then he discovered the other toys. He fell in love with the yellow and purple jingle ball, and he would have lots of fun shaking it and rolling it across the floor. The teethers are nicely textured, and the linking letters are fun to dangle from an activity gym. Also, my son loves the little yellow rubber ducky and the purple octopus. I squirt him with them during bath time, and he laughs and squeals. Of all the toys we now own, many of his favorites are from the original Sassy set. This toy set has been wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to other parents. Not only are the toys designed with bright, high-contrast patterns to please young infants, but also they are varied and durable enough to please older babies. This truly is a great assortment of baby toys.Customer Review: Love the toys, but not what I ordered!

Ok, so I had some issues with this set of toys. The first set of toys that I received in the mail didn't even have all the toys in it. There were only 11 of the 14 toys in the box. The big problem I had though was that the box of toys is not what is shown in the picture. Once Amazon sent me a new box with all the items, I still didn't get what I ordered. One of the most notable items that was different were the links. The box I got had number links, 0-9, intstead of the ABC links. Out of the 14 toys that were supposed to come in the box, only 3 were the toys shown on the webpage, the fish, a rattle, and the toy with polka dot balls on the ends. Although I am happy with the toys that I got, there were some toys that I thought that I was going to receive that I really wanted. I'm happy with them overall, since they price-matched themselves since it went from $29.99 to $14.99.
