We LOVE this product! My oldest son took about 4 days to figure out the spring type cabinet locks when he was 18 months old. He's 5 now, and STILL can't get into the cabinets with the Tot Loks on them - and he never will as long as we keep the magnetic "key" out of his reach. They are easy for an adult to operate as well. You can also set the loks to an "always open" position too for times when the children aren't around and you must get into the cabinets repeatedly.Customer Review: Miles above the rest

We tried other locks and the spring locks either didn't fit correctly or broke easily. One lock that was meant for drawers allowed the drawer to be opened but not closed. These magnetic locks were easy to install with the template and a drill. Also, I have found that other lock sets (including some made by the same compay)include cheap easily stripped screws, however the screws included with this set were quality. I would concur with the suggestions by others to buy extra keys.Customer Review: Time consuming to install, but well worth it!!!

These locks took some time to install, however when you follow the instructions it goes very smoothly. The time now was well worth the ease in the future. Plus, after my daughter has outgrown the need for cabinet locks I can put them in their inactive mode. This is great because when we have future company we can reactivate them and the home is childproof again. Just be careful on cheap cabinets because you can drill through the entire door! We love these cabinet door locks. They hold the doors tightly shut so no little fingers can get pinched and are easy for us to use. They are durable and grow with the family. We are of course looking forward to the day where we can "flip the switch" and take them out of action. We love the fact that we do not have to remove all the locks once our children no longer need that safety factor. Just be sure to keep the magnet in a safe place away from little hands!

I bought this lock and other Safety 1st clip locks. I did not install the Tot Locks because the directions are hard to read and used the clip locks instead. Last night, my 16 month old son got into a kitchen cabinet that we forgot to re-clip and came seconds from drinking jewelry cleaner. We stayed up late last night and installed the Tot locks on all our cabinets that have cleaners in them. Tot Locks are a must for cabinets that have cleaners or dangerous utensils.
