This durable mesh guard installs easily on any type of railing or balcony to protect children and pets from falling through rails. Railnet measures 10' long and stands 33" high.Protect your children (and pets) from squeezing through balcony and stairway railings with this durable, weather-resistant playard netting. Suitable for either indoor or outdoor use, this washable white mesh netting adjusts to fit most railings measuring up to 33 inches high and 10 feet long. For shorter railings, simply roll back the netting to fit the desired area, or for longer railings, connect two Railnets together with the provided hardware. Customer Review: A must-have.

These things are great. If you've got banisters, stair rails, balustrades, second floor, basement, decks, whatever, you need these. The banister in our two-story house had gaps between the upright posts that were bigger than, say, the tiny gaps now mandated for cribs. The worry, of course, is that a baby or toddler could squeeze between the gaps and take a bad fall. And gaps that don't look that big might be large enough for a head to get stuck between, even if the shoulders won't go through. We found that the netting stayed nice and tight, although you should check the securing ropes periodically. My only complaint is that the nets are not terrific-looking, but if you've already got baby gates, outlet covers, cabinet locks and all the rest of it, you're not going to care much about the look. The added safety in your home is worth the short-term aesthetics hit.
