My husband and I love this gate. It is strong and sturdy. Sturdy enough to keep our son and two Great Danes at bay when needed. We bought this one to see how worked out, and now we have ordered another one. It is easy enough to step over, but also easy enough to readjust when entering/exiting a room. In fact, most times I don't even have to readjust it, I can simply remove the pressure, and reapply it as needed with no further adjustments. I has worked very well for us.
