Baby Products Reviews of Safety 1st Lock Release Fridge LatchCustomer Review: will work for side by side... if you have 2 locks Summary: 5 Stars
we have 5 kids and the younger two will eat us out of house and home if we let them! snacks are always available, but when they get into items earmarked for meals or such, it gets hairy. we have a side by side refrigerator and bought two of these locks to go at the top of the doors, instead of on the side. it works perfectly and the kids don't even SEE the lock, so there is no attempt to out-smart it, like with other childproofing items!
Customer Review: Very effective Summary: 5 Stars
I love this latch - best one of the 2-3 that I have tried. It works best on side open fridge doors as shown in the image.
I recommend letting the adhesive sit overnight. Install it high enough that the child can't play with it if possible.
I have used my current one now for 7 months (we just moved into this place) and no problems. Fridge is opened all throughout the day.
Customer Review: Saved My Sanity!! Summary: 5 Stars
This fridge lock is great! My 21 month old daughter was in the refrigerator non-stop. Every time I turned around, she was gnawing through a pack of lunch meat or pouring milk on the floor! I couldn't take it anymore, so I ordered this little beauty and have been problem free ever since! It was super easy to install and very simple for our 5 year old to open. LOVE IT!!!
Customer Review: Sanity in a lock! Summary: 5 Stars
Sweet sanity is mine! This simple lock has made days with my terrible two toddler much more bearable. I bought two in case one broke. I didn't actually break it but I did forget it was there and yanked really hard and pulled the adhesive off. It came with more so my husband just re-applied it. My toddler is not strong enough to yank off the adhesive...yet.
Customer Review: Easy to Install, Works Great Summary: 5 Stars
Was very easy to install. It includes spacers that allowed it to be installed even if the door of the appliance doesn't line up with the side (our refrigerator door is 1/2" wider than the refrigerator itself). Our 2-year-old is unable to figure it out but I'm expecting him to by the time he's three. Placing it out of the child's reach is most effective.
