I was given my first Safety 1st Security Gate because the previous owners were going to throw it out. I found that gate to be priceless and decided to purchase two more of the same style to be used in various areas of my house. I don't have children but a Jack Russell Terrier and wanted to block off sections of the house from her. This gate is excellently constructed and can expand to cover a larger distance. I only wish they came in a smaller size.Customer Review: Works Fine.

I bought this gate nearly a year ago and it works pretty fine till now. I use the pressure mount since i'm a renter and don't want to mess the door frame. I use it to block the kitchen but since my kitchen is open from two sides i'm buying another one because my son just figured out that there's another entrance. The only draw back that i came across that it's not easy to pass over but other than that i'd recommend it.Customer Review: Twin Proof

I have 4 of these and they are very sturdy. I have rowdy 2 year old twin boys and the gates have survived intense beatings from walkers, tricycles, and body slams for over a year. Although my kids are excellent climbers, they have not been able to find a foot-hold on this gate. Note: the rubber pressure points are snug and have removed paint from some door frames upon release.Customer Review: Great Gate

The only reason I gave this gate 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a little hard to get it pressure fitted into my doorway. Once I had it positioned getting the handle back down was very difficult, but once I did the gate was very secure. My cats push off the top when they jump over it and the 50 pound dog has run into it a few times, and it's holding up just fine.Customer Review: Good Gate - Highly Recommend

I looked at several types/prices of gates before settling on this one. We bought two - they were both installed within 10 minutes and they've been reliable and safe. We then went on to buy a third for my parents. We've got them hardware mounted but a nice feature is the ability to take them off the wall, leaving the hardware in place, for use somewhere else.
