I was given my first Safety 1st Security Gate because the previous owners were going to throw it out. I found that gate to be priceless and decided to purchase two more of the same style to be used in various areas of my house. I don't have children but a Jack Russell Terrier and wanted to block off sections of the house from her. This gate is excellently constructed and can expand to cover a larger distance. I only wish they came in a smaller size.
