I haven't used this much, but I have noticed that there was an order form for the replacement covers in the original packaging, so I can't imagine how it would be hard to find replacement covers! It seems to work great so far, but I have only used it for taking our normal body temperature. I love that it displays the last temperature taken on there and averages it all out so I know what to compare it to when my son has a fever. Great item!Customer Review: can't find replacement part

We have found that this thermometer often shows different temperatures for each ear. When we go back to the first ear, it isn't even the same as the first reading. We are looking for a different one for our second child. It's fine in a pinch, but I want something more reliable.Customer Review: Works great - tough to find refills!!

This thermometer has been very acurate for me as well - for 2 years now with both my toddlers. The major drawback is the difficulty of finding replacement covers. Unfortunately I learned of this one afternoon when my daughter was sick, and I drove around to 8 different major discount stores only to come up empty! I haven't had a hard time getting an accurate reading with this thermometer, but because it is so difficult to find the replacement covers, I would recomend looking for another one.
