I was hesitant to buy this monitor because of the price and seeing the poor quality / performance of friends video baby monitors. We've been pleasantly surprised at how well this system works. The camera looks great during the day in color and at night in the dark the picture is crisp and clear. The sound quality is good and is easy to see what is going on and if you need to go and check on the baby. There is zero static / interference...zero it just works! In fact we are able to go over to the neighbors house 3 doors down and take the monitor and be aware of any sound or movement. Battery life is good and it just takes rechargeable AA so is cheap and easy to add more / replace batteries.Customer Review: Very Good Monitor

This Monitor has been very useful. Problems with our wireless internet? Yes, sometimes. It can slow it down a tad. It also will interrupt music if you are playing it thru your network using AirTunes(thru your iTunes player over to your home stereo). Other than that, seeing your kid clearly and securely is an invaluable peace of mind.
Also, the hand-held monitor has taken a beating and still works. Dropped numerous times, including once in the kitchen sink full of water(briefly). Still going strong. If it ever dies, we'll buy another.
It's not perfect, hence the four stars, but it is definitely the best purchase for us and our baby.
Customer Review: Good Monitor, But Kills WiFi Networks

The monitor itself seems to work mostly as advertised with one big exception: it takes down my wireless network (2.4Ghz, 802.11b/g/n) when it operates. This is totally unacceptable for a product that specifically calls out that it doesn't interfere with WiFi networks on the 2.4Ghz frequency due to their special technology. Apparently it's not quite that special.
I wish this wasn't the case, because it's otherwise a great monitor other than the beeps it makes turning on and off and the lack of a cycle function for multiple cameras. The interferences issue makes it virtually unusable and not as advertised.

I found this product to give me peace of mind. My daughter is a light sleeper and when she first goes down for the night my husband and I wonder when she will next wake. I found myself not wanting to get too involved in anything for fear she would wake. With this monitor we can have a life and see (and hear) that she is peaceful while entertaining friends for an evening get together or getting some much needed sleep. It definitely allows you insight to a child to ensure everything really is A-OK. Only thing I would change is if the monitor could have been operated with a plug instead of a battery.Customer Review: Network Killer

Great monitor. Clear picture. Good sound. Little feedback. One BIG problem. It kills your wireless network. Another writer commented that he was unsure whether this device was interfering. I can attest, with certainty, that is it. We're running the new N class Apple AirPort as well. Not an old router. The interference in sporadic, but when it hits your network goes down and for a number of minutes.
So, be warned. If you use wireless routers, consider the 900 Mhz monitors (and risk too many neighbors using the same frequency range as well).
