Customer Review: Simple, but OK

We purchased this pail for the downstairs bathroom. It doesn't take up much space and does the basic job. It's not as "smell-proof" as other systems.But considering it's much smaller than other popular pails, you simply change it more often to elimiate the smell factor. We actually have been looking to buy another one to replace the Champ we threw out. But, for some reason, all the new ones don't have the inner ring with the 2 flaps...so we're a little confused and haven't bought one yet. With our second child on the way, we need a pail that can handle diapers from a new born and 1 year old.Customer Review: Simple and does its job

I got this when my first son was born 2 years ago. I'm now using it for his diapers as well as my 3 month old's. Now that my first son is older I pre-wrap his #2 diapers in bags I get at the dollar store and that really helps with odor. The deodorizing discs that come with it are completely useless, but I just use Glad vanilla scented kitchen bags to line it and let it air out at the end of each week.
I'm really glad I got this pail and have recommended it to others.

It's nice when you put the diaper in the top, you don't have to push it down with your hand, the lid does that when you close it. That's what first attracted me to this. You can only smell it when it's opened, other than that you don't really smell the diapers, thank God. But the 2 little blue flaps just inside the pail keep falling off. So that really sucks because you then have to stick your hand into the pail to get them out and put them back on. personally I don't like having my face so close to the diaper pail so I stopped using it.Customer Review: excellent for the price

I love that special pricey bags or refills are not needed with this diaper pail. It does a pretty decent job of keeping out the smell, but with how stinky my son's poos are, I still tie poopy diapers in a plastic shopping bag before putting it in the pail (also keeps from getting yucky stuff of my hands when I push it into the pail). I do wish that this was hands-free like my other pail, but it works much better on smell. If you want to completely eliminate diaper odors you'll have to take each diaper out of the house immediately.Customer Review: Sometimes Smells

This diaper pail is well-priced and you don't have to buy the expensive refills since it takes normal trash bags. Unfortunately, it sometimes smells bad and it makes my son's entire room smell. Also, since this diaper pail has kind of a round shape, my son has discovered if he knocks it over, he can sit on it and roll from side to side (yuck).
My sister got the Diaper Champ, which also takes regular trash bags and it seems to work better. She upgraded when she was caring for multiple children in diapers.
