I got this monitor as a gift for my first daughter who is almost three and now have a 4 month old that I am using it for. Both times it has picked up every little sound that they make and without interferance. The best part is that with how much I have used these I havent had to change the batteries ONCE!!! ( I guess it helps that they can also be plugged in if you prefer) They work great for taking outside with you if baby is inside napping or if you have a big house. The range of these things seems to be endless! It just goes to show that just because its inexpensive doesnt mean that it wont work just as well as the expensive ones and in this case I think they work much better!Customer Review: Great buy!

I received mine with a $75 purchase but it would've been worth every penny and more. I initially had another monitor on my baby registry but I took it off when I read the reviews on monitors in general. Since this one came with the purchase I took it but didn't expect much. What a nice surprise. It comes in crystal clear as the name says. Sometimes it picks up the tv sound, even when the tv is on low and away from the monitor, but I can still hear the baby stirring over any other sound. I've never gotten any static even when I've taken it upstairs, or outside the door. I can now take a shower when the baby's sleeping without worrying that he's woken up and I can't hear him.Customer Review: Even better than the expensive models!

We got this monitor free with a stroller purchase. Since we'd also received an expensive 900 Mhz monitor as a gift, we threw this one in the drawer, figuring we'd only use it at Grandma's or as a backup. Our expensive monitor was trash. After fighting with it for months, I pulled this one out of the drawer. It works perfectly! The sound is clear (I can even hear my son breathing as he sleeps), the range is good, and the batteries last well. I wish we'd just stuck with this one in the first place! The only thing I miss are the lights on my expensive monitor, which allowed me to turn the sound down but still see if my child was making any noise. Save your money and don't buy this monitor. When we lived in our apartment, the static drove us crazy! Now that we are in our house, the static is much better but the monitor only functions when it feels like it. We've owned it for 9 months and it simply doesn't work well anymore. You have to jiggle the plug part on the transmitter just right for it to transmit. You have to play with the volume control on the receiver to get it to pick up anything at all. Although, until we had these problems, I was happy with its sensitivity (I could hear my son breathing) and its range (I could be out in the yard with it). I'm very disappointed and am online looking for a new monitor.Customer Review: Works pretty good...I am happy!

When we were expecting our daughter in 2004 we had planned to get an nice (expensive) monitor for her room but when we bought her furniture this monitor was a free gift. So we thought... well try it and if it sucks... we didn't pay anything and we will go get the one we want. We were very surprised, my daughter is 15 months old now and we still use this same monitor. It may not be the greatest or the most expensive out there but it does the job... lets us know when she is up. I am expecting our second daughter in June and will probably just stick with this monitor b/c it is inexpensive and my last one works just fine.
