I have no idea why this potty has only 2.5 stars. I have an almost 3 year old girl who weighs 33 pounds and I have been very happy with this product. First, my daughter could not get used to the "guard thingie" that juts up on the baby bjorn potty. She would constanly hit herself on it. This potty is designed with girls in mind so that parents have the option of not having the guard. Second, I like the cooshie seat. My daughter will sit on the potty for a long time comfortably. We have never had a problem with the potty absorbing her waste. Lastly, it is easy to clean. My daughter can now empty and replace the potty herself. I would highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Lifesaver!

I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews for this potty. I've kept this potty in the back of my car since my daughter was 13 months old (since she would only go #2 in a potty) and it's been a lifesaver! Even now that she's 3, she's still uses it from time to time...Her tush is a little big for the cushion now, but it's a non-issue.
As for smelly cushion issues that other reviewers mentioned, perhaps because my daughter doesn't hit the cushion/shield (like boys would), we've never had any such problem. I put a diaper in the bottom to catch (mostly) everything, which makes cleanup a breeze. A little 409 and the potty cleans up really well for us.

Neat idea... did not work for us. My son has to sit just right for the deflector to catch his pee, more often than not he pees all over the place. Seat is cushy and worked great on our toilet BUT the cushy seat is absorbant. WHY?!! Just like a sponge it absorbs and KEEPS any wetness that hits it. Also, I think the seat opening is too small, my son is 22 months old. There's no way he could sit in the same position on the seat while doing #1 and #2. We had to scoot him back further to do #1 (so he wouldn't pee all over the place) then scoot him forward to attempt to do #2 (so he wouldn't poop on the seat). We bought this thinking - GREAT! A 3-in-1 potty for our small bathroom. BUT, whenever my son went to sit on it, it would move across the floor, bump into the wall and the top that was lifted open would hit him in the back. I liked the comfy cushion, but it was already getting stained and worn after a few uses. Too many parts to clean, too hard for my little guy to sit on easily - we always had to help him. We went out and bought a Baby Bjorn this weekend. We wanted to use this potty just as a step stool, but it's too unsafe sliding on the floor and with no grip material on the top of it. We're not using the big potty, yet, so we are 0 for 3 on this potty.Customer Review: Dangerous Potty Chair! A true Potty Monster!!!

My daughter put this potty chair out for our grandson a few weeks ago, after his first birthday. She just was hoping to get him acclimated to having it around. He enjoyed sitting on it and getting up and down from it. A few nights ago, he was playing around sitting on it and getting up and he suddenly started screaming. When my daughter went to help him up, his penis was somehow stuck and it tore the skin causing bleeding and a cut to his skin, close to where his circumcision had been. We are making calls to the company and hoping to get this on the recall list. It was a terrifying ordeal for him and for my daughter. Please don't buy this seat.
