The Safe-Lok's patented Trap-Slot design helps to protect children two ways. First, it allows a cabinet door or drawer to open only approximately 1". Then, it locks in place so your child's fingers can't be pinched by the reclosing door, while it remains easy for an adult to release. The new quick disable feature gives you the option of installing the latch in a mounting bracket rather than directly to the door or drawer. This bracket allows the latch to be removed, letting an adult temporarily disable the locking function for easy access to drawers and cabinets when needed! Customer Review: Confusing installation

I don't know if you have to super-mommy-senses to make heads or tails of this product, and I certainly don't have any. I was fully confused with this installation. The instructions were very inadequate, only a few words and rudamentary pictures on the back of the small packaging - Not to mention that the most of the instructions were covered in a sales sticker, thus rendering them completely useless.
I ended up with bits and peices that I simply could not figure out at all, and a very 'rigged' installation.
Boo. Hiss.
