Baby Products Reviews of Razbaby RaZ-berry Teether, RedCustomer Review: SILICONE TEETHER JUST LIKE BABY'S BOTTLE NIPPLES Summary: 5 Stars
Its silicone which, in my opinion is safer than soft plastic with no ingredient list. If silicone is recommended for bottle nipples then I cant see the harm in allowing my baby to use it in this age of recalls. ITs larger than a normal pacifier but thats good. it fills his mouth up and feels different from his bottle nipples and his other silicone pacifiers. This way he wont be chewing on the wrong thing. He slowly getting use to it but will chew on it longer if I hold it while he chews. Its simply not the size of a normal pacifier so he cant count on his mouth holding it in just yet. Hes only 5 months and is drooling a great deal so Im ahead of the game with this teether. Also I have many plastic teethers that usually come with a new bouncer or baby gym but throw them away. I plan to go organic as well with his other teether toys. I hope I can find an organic stuffed toy with no dyes. THen I'd feel comfortable allowing him to chew and suck on it. The soft plastic teethers are scary with all the toxic ingrediants that have recently come to light like philates which is used to soften plastic and is now known to be detrimental to baby. This finding is so new that there is little info online about Philates . I would not have known anything if I had not been watching a news program. So I am staying away from soft plastic generic teethers, no matter how cute they look. I do recommend this silicone teether.Atleast I know the ingredient of what hes chewing on.
Customer Review: Teether will NOT come apart, if you buy the right one! Summary: 5 Stars
Firstly, let me just say that I am very glad that I ignored the "most helpful" review saying that it would come apart. I completely feared this because my baby seems to eat everything he can get his hands on, and he's only about 5 months! Well, I received the product and I couldn't be happier with the concept. It is a soft silicone material, comparable to other teething toys on the market, and my baby took to it instantly. The bonus: it is shaped like a pacifier, so babies can suck on it and it fits comfortably in their mouths. I can't say enough good things about this product.
Now about it coming apart, the green and red and green and blue teether's are two parts brought together, however the pink and the light blue teethers are one peice (i.e. there is no way it will come apart!!). I completely recommend the light blue, considering that is the one I bought for my baby boy. It is a very nice color, just as shown in the picture, and it is only about fifty cents more than the original "raZ-berry teether".
So, if you really want the contrast in colors, you can take the risk with one of the dual-color raz-berry teethers; Many people have been more than happy with the those and never had a problem with it coming apart. But personally, I would recommend the one-color ones; They are just as cute and you won't have to worry about the possibility that it will come apart. Enjoy!
Customer Review: Fantastic teether that's portable and cute! Summary: 5 Stars
When my first child wouldn't take a pacifier, and seemed to turn up his nose at traditional teethers I was desperate. I ordered this and gave it a shot-with great results. The size was perfect (started around three months), and I think the nubby texture felt nice on his gums (he had his first tooth at four months). A child can chew on the 'berry' itself, as well as the leaves and back handle--all have a rubbery texture that seems very soothing. Sometimes I even stuck this in the fridge for a little while and he had something nice and cool to chew on. This and the Mam teethers were mainstays for us throughout the teething process. I personally prefer this one until baby has a better grip-it's easier for parent or child to hold onto, and even goes on those little loops to keep pacifiers safe. Our first one held up well to pretty serious usage, and when it was lost we immediately purchased another. The only negative is the handle-not quite as sturdy as the est of the pacifier, and on one it did pull apart. As a side note, the colors and shape are cute and one person even stopped us to ask about it.
Customer Review: Essential for teething babies. Add this to all your baby shower gifts. Summary: 5 Stars
My 11 month old son LOVES this teether, and he is a breastfed baby who has never liked pacifiers. Most other teethers only hold his interest for a brief time, but he will gnaw on this thing for ages.
We keep one in every room of the house, in the diaper bag, in the car, and in pockets of various articles of clothing because we don't want to be caught without it. So far, he's never damaged any of them and they've all seen plenty of use.
We like that all parts of the teether are chewable, each with different textures to soothe babies' gums. Plus, you can easily use plastic rings or one of those pacifier holders to attach the teether to the stroller or yours/baby's clothing, and it's not going to hit the ground to be soiled.
I've given them out to every new mom whose shower I've attended this past year, as it's been one of the most valuable items we've used to help our baby stay comfortable.
Great product for great price!
Customer Review: fill it with water! Summary: 5 Stars
We ended up with several of these. My daughter just liked the texture, I think. The "berry" part is a little long for smaller babies mouths, but by about 6 months she had the hang of chewing on it wherever teeth were coming in. Even when she was younger this was one that got more use because it is light weight and has a skinny handle for small fingers. Like other reviewers, we bought the single color ones, so I can't speak for the two-tone ones, but ours at least have never come apart. My daughter is a chewer as well: chews on and up everything she can, but these teethers have always remained solid.
There is a hollow in the back, which you can fill with water and put in the freezer. My daughter particularly liked them like this. It doesn't last too long so we ended up with more than one so we could rotate. Its true that the water drips out as it melts, but its not more than a good bib can absorb and a little dampness is worth the teething relief.
