At 7 weeks, Evelynne was already desperate to sit up and look around. If you set her down, she'd whimper, but as soon as she was propped up and could look around again she was perfectly happy. I saw an ad for this, and thinking it might be a cute solution, I ordered it (in December of '07).
She cooed and giggled happily the first few times I put her in it (on top my desk, or the kitchen table) at about 3 months, and I finally got some work done while she watched! At 7 months (17 lbs) she still fits in it and loves it -- and the toy fascinates her. It's great for feeding her solids, too, as it keeps her comfily upright, and cleans up easily. She also likes to sit on the counter and "help" cook (by waving around a wire whisk or rubber spatula).
Ours is green, and not foam. It feels firm but soft, like a well-inflated bouncing ball. It's really smooth (easy to wipe off--yay!), but not at all slippery. I'm pretty happy with how well it stays put. If it's on a smooth surface and she really works at it for five minutes or more, she can make it move 3-4 inches in any given direction. It's super simple to put together and take apart (don't need instructions), and the placemats have anti-slip backing, too, by the way.
I honestly don't know what I'd have done without this thing. I work from home and spend a lot of time on the computer, and Evvy is entertained by the bebePod for at least half an hour, longer if she has something to watch -- like the cat, TV, or the computer screen.
I'm going to buy them for my pregnant girlfriends.

This product is exactly what it is advertised as. I didn't find anything especially wrong with it, but I don't really like using this chair. My son got this as soon as he turned 3 months old. Almost immediately his legs were too chubby for me to feel comfortable putting the tray or knob on it. (I'm afraid I'm going to pinch him.) I also cloth diaper, so his butt is a bit chunkier, making it even more difficult to get him into this thing.
I have a feeling we would both enjoy a Bumbo more.
That being said, the toy that comes with the tray is pretty cool. I wish it had a stand (other than the tray) so we could use it without the bebe pod or me having to hold it in front of my son.

I bought the Prince Lionheart bebePod Plus Watermelon seat for my granddaughter when she was 4 1/2 months old and she is 6 months now and still enjoys setting and playing in it although she can also set along.
Before I bought this seat she was a very needy infant where she was the first child and very spoiled, she wanted to be held all the time and the other infant items just did not work for her but she loves this seat and so do we,It also works great as a first feeding chair and her parents take it out to dinner with them,They don't set it on the table but she sits between them and it works great! Just use common safety since and don't place the seat in places it should not be.

My 3 month old loves this seat and so do I. My son loves sitting upright all by himself and I love having my hands back!! Especially when I read him books.. now I can hold a book in front of him, point at all the pictures, and turn the pages without having to maneuver everything around. Oh and the tray is a great new addition. My son will sit in the chair 5x longer when he has the toy to entertain him. Customer Review: A great little chair for your little one!

I bought the Prince Lionheart BebePod after reading mixed reviews, and I am happy to say my son and I love it. It is light, easy to pick up and take on the go. We send it to grandmas in place of a high chair, the tray with the removable placemats work great for use as a second high chair. The tray slides on and of easily with one hand. My son also loves the toy, he is still having fun with it almost a month later. I watch my son very carefully when his in it though because he will try to stand up or escape when he is sitting in it. For the money I think is was definatly worth it and I would recomend it to others.
