My baby likes this toy, particularly the rattle that attaches, but at 7 months she's already too big for it. Her feet touch the floor and she pushes against the floor so there's a risk of her falling backwards (like leaning back in a chair). I stopped using it. If you want to give something different and something the expecting mother doesn't know about - this is the best gift, but more important it is a fantasic item that will be used very often. It is almost as important as having the swing. My son loves sitting up, he began using the BebePOD Plus around 3 months old. The tray is great and he loves the toy that's attached I just started feeding him from it at 5 months old. Great investment, well worth the money.
