Baby Products Reviews of Prince Lionheart Two Stage Seat Saver, Black

Customer Review: Works pretty good, but not Perfect
Summary: 4 Stars

We got a new (to us) SUV with beautiful leather seats, the rear 5 seats (7 passenger SUV) looked brand new.

We ordered up 3 of these for the 3 car seats and they do minimize the impressions left, and obviously protect from spills, etc.

Only a few gripes, not major.

1) Since they are taking the blunt pressure from the carseats, they crease and deform. Not a big deal since it's better than putting big dents in leather.
2) They are stiff! I put a considerable amount of weight on it and snug them down to make sure they are secure. I've read reviews where people complain they aren't safe. I can see how they say that, but it's only common sense that you have to use more force/pressure than normal.
3) Not perfect. What I've found to be THE BEST is to fold a regular old bath towel in half and use that, making sure it covers every area that comes in contact. We did that in our last SUV and the seats are PERFECT. Despite that we use these since we paid $20/ea for them, and they look nicer than a towel.

Customer Review: A MUST HAVE!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought a new car with leather seats about a month ago. I was afraid of the both my childrens car seats making dents in the leather. I bought this saver for that sole purpose! Now, I am so glad I did. Not only does it keep my leather dent free but it collects all the crumbs and juice spills that the kids leave behind. I noticed the review before mine was a professional car seat installer and felt that it kept the car seat from being installed correctly. After four years of putting in and out 2 car seats I dont feel like that at all. My car seats are in correctly and I love this two stage car seat protection and would of paid double for it. Just make sure you are familiar with your car seat and that your car is not to small because this protector is wide. (Thank Goodness) This will from now on be one of my baby gifts that I give at showers. I wish I would of known about this with my cloth seats before. It would of saved a lot of elbow grease!!
I hope this will be helpful to everyone like it has been for me.

Customer Review: Great seat protector
Summary: 5 Stars

Thick, durable, pliable, and rugged, the base of this seat protector is curved up to catch crumbs and liquids if spilled. The folded lip of the base is great for leather seats, as my toddler used to step on the car's leather seat edge before mounting the booster seat. Since this protects both the base and the back of your car's seat, it'll keep protecting your car seat as you evolve from a rear facing car seat to a booster seat.

This seat protector comes in two pieces (back and base), and is attached via velcro. Seat was actually very easy to install since the material is pliable. It was folded together when I removed it from the box, but once I set the booster seat on it, it stayed in place. Also, there is no bad smell coming from this seat cover. Sometimes, you find most plastic made in China products offgas a nauseating solvent odor out of the packaging. You can use this seat protector immediately out of the box. I have two now.

Customer Review: Attractive and Does the Job!
Summary: 4 Stars

I went to BRU to try and purchase the all rubber Lionheart seat protector and they didn't have it. I was pretty much dead set against this one because of the "professionals" review. Well, (with help from the guy from BRU, we took this one out of the package and pulled my car seat off of the display. We then tried it out on the seat that they have available at BRU for just such tests. It was fine. I just installed it in my vehicle (Envoy XL) it doesn't have the largest seats in the world and this fit just fine. No, it didn't completely cover the back of the seat, but it wasn't made to. Most indentations occur on the seat bottom and the mid section of the seat. This covers all of that just fine. I don't know why the "professional" says that this protector is too thick...it isn't thick at all. Go to BRU and have one of their friendly folks do a demonstration. I give it 2 thumbs up!

Customer Review: Nice Wide & Heavy / Velcro doesn't stick though
Summary: 4 Stars

Well we just got this recently to put under our son's booster seat and we plan to buy another to put under the infant carrier once this baby is born. I really like that it's wide so it catches cereal and stuff pretty well. It's also heavy material and doesn't allow any creases or indentations in the car seat fabric. (We had been using heavy vinyl place mats to prevent this and it didn't look too attractive.)

My only concern, like the other reviewer, is that the velcro which holds the bottom and back part together doesn't stick at all unless you happen to have an old truck with a 90 degree bench seat. They must've forgotten that new cars are bucket seats. I'd prefer if it were all one peice or snapped together with big heavy snaps.

Overall, given the lack of options out there, I would recommend it. It's definitely better than the flimsier ones out there.
