I bought my seat saver 3 years ago in 2008 when my daughter was born and my 4 door Civic with leather seats was one month old. My daughter is super hard on everything. I wish I could say the carseat that is as old as the pad was in such good conditon. I agree with others, maybe this is a little too wide. I even have the biggest carseat they make, a Britax Frontier 85 now, previous one was a Evenflo Infinity which is also large. It does seem like it is wide especially if someone sits next to it or if you wanted to use the seat cover with a booster seat it makes it SOMEWHAT difficult to access the seatbelt latch. But I used it like that for almost a year before I went back to a 5 point harness Britax seat so it cant be that bad. My least favorite thing about it is that its difficult to put the seat in exactly where you want it and not have the top want to fall down while you are putting in the seat. Is it harder for me because I have huge bulky seats? Maybe. But, for all the milk thats spilled, the m&ms that fall between the seat and melt in this arizona heat, and all the toast crumbs that are caught by the perfectly shaped cupping of the back of this, makes it worth 50 dollars because my seats still look brand new. You wouldnt ever know that I have had a carseat in my backseat in any of the 3 possible positions by looking at my like new gray leather seats. Now I just have to get two Rover Chelsea seatback covers, something I should have bought 3 years ago before the back of my seats started looking dirty and getting scuffed up. :( If your gonna protect the seat, might as well protect the seat back too, it usually ends up looking worse than the seat.
