Baby Products Reviews of Playtex Premium Nurser Newborn Gift SetCustomer Review: The Best on The Market, esp. For Breast Fed Babies. Summary: 5 Stars
I adore these bottles. My husband and I have used these for three children. Reasons I love these bottles:
1. For people who don't have a dishwasher (we didn't with our first child)sterilizing bottles is a real chore. The liners in the Playtex bottles come sterilized. It made me feel better and the bottles felt cleaner.
2. The bottle shape is perfect for all little hands to grip around unlike the Avent brand which are just huge for them to hold.
3. For breast fed little ones I am convinced that the nipple choices give Moms many choices to prevent nipple confusion. I had two children who breastfed and both could switch successfully between the Playtex nurser and the breast without problems.
4. They are sturdy and the new design is simple and stylish.
5. They adapt perfectly with the Playtex breast milk storage system.
Customer Review: great bottle,liners.....bad nipples Summary: 1 Stars
my daughter and i love this system. she had problems latching on from the beginning so we bought these bottle becasue my mother-in-law used the originals with my husband and she said it greatly reducd his colic when he was a baby. the unformed liners collapse better than the preformed after the air is removed. i dont care for the ones with the slider thingy ....i cant get it to work. i only have one MAJOR problem with this system.... i have a total of 15 of these nurser bottle and have been using them for 2 1/2 months and now the nipples clog up after 1 ounce... (turn the bottle upside down and nothing comes out) i have to switch the nipples out after each ounce which is frusterating for not only me but also my hungry baby. i really dont feel like purchasing 15 new nipples every 2 1/2 months until we switch to sippy cups.... im switching bottle and sending these back to playtex
Customer Review: great for breastfeeding mothers and babies Summary: 5 Stars
What I love about the premium nurser starter set is that it comes with accessories so I can use the bottle system directly with my breastpump. With the adapter kit, I can pump straight into the drop-in liners, which is convenient. The kit only has enough pieces to store two full liners without using the bottles/holders, so I checked the Playtex website to see if I could buy another one. Turns out, you can call for replacement parts; when I did, they sent me another kit for free. I like having more of the pieces so I can take advantage of using the liners for pumping and storing milk. My daughter took the bottle easily the first time and ever since. We used the regular nipples with my first daughter, and she never had a problem with that either. Neither girl has had trouble with nipple confusion using these bottles. Definitely worth a try for breastfeeding mothers!
Customer Review: The best bottles available Summary: 5 Stars
We have tried a variety of bottles, with this being our third child. The Avent system worked the best with our second child, so that was what we decided to use with #3. After using them for 7 weeks(and having several embarassingly noisy feedings during church) I decided to buy some new bottles. After reading the reviews for these I bought them, and am I ever glad I did. After one feeding, our son's stomach discomfort was all but gone, and we had a smiling baby. Of all the bottles we have used, It is the closest thing to breastfeeding I have used. He gets hardly any gas, and does not spit up at all anymore. With the Avent bottles, he sounded like he was sucking in tons of air, and they leaked horribly. This resulted in loud feedings, loud burps and lots of uncomfortable gas. These bottles are amazing, and I will never use another bottle again.
Customer Review: Great while breastfeeding - no nipple confusion Summary: 5 Stars
I use these bottles with my 10 week old daughter. She began bottle feeding when she was 6 1/2 weeks old. Prior to that, she was exclusively breastfeeding. We introduced the bottle only a few times per day while still breastfeeding. She took to the bottle right away - she fussed for about 30 seconds and then she was eating like a champ. She had NO nipple confusion and was (and still is) able to take a bottle at one feeding and the breast at the next. Many moms are worried about nipple confusion but the natural shape nipple and slow flow have made my daughter's transition worry (and outburst) free. I had tried using the Vent Aire bottles prior to these and never even got to try to feed my baby with them because they leaked all the milk that I worked so hard to express. I definitely recommend the Premium Nurser bottles over the others available.
