I really love this system and find it has met all my needs. My son receives only breastmilk and this system has made it SO easy to express, store, and feed him with a bottle.
I have not found the liner cost to be a problem. Nor was I disturbed by how many kits I needed to buy. I think I bought 5 or 6 to make sure I had enough. It just depends on how much you're going to need to store. But you don't need many actual bottles, since the milk doesn't have to be stored in them, so the price evened out for me. Besides, it's much cheaper than buying formula!
I also don't care about exact measurements of how much my son eats. I can get the measurement just by lifting the liner out and taking a look. But when he's at the breast, I don't know how much he's eaten, so I don't track just how much he has from the bottle, either. I just make sure he has enough dirty diapers.
I find the system easy to use because I can express directly into a liner, put the bottle into the freezer, then remove the liner from the bottle when it's frozen. This reduces the space needed. When it's feeding time, just pop one of them into a bottle, heat, and replace the cap with a nipple. Easy!

It makes life just a little bit easier now that this has come out on the market! No more having to transfer breastmilk from bottle to bottle. Just pump your breastmilk into the liners, seal it, store it, and when baby is ready to eat, just warm the bag, place it in a playtex nurser and feed! I was previously pumping my breastmilk into an evenflo storage bottle, storing it into the fridge, then heating up the bottle and transfering it to another bottle. It was so much hassle and so much work! I had all these different parts to wash and sterilize. Now, all I have to do is pump directly into a storage bag (the adapter ring fits perfectly on my Evenflo breastpump!), seal it, store it and when it is time for my baby to eat, I just warm up the milk and place it in a playtex nurser bottle! So easy!
I have to admit, that at first, milk was leaking out of the sealing disks when I turned it upside down to store it, but I have since gotten the hang of it and no more leaking! I can't say that I love this product yet until I see the results of how the bottle works for my baby, but for this storage kit itself, it makes pumping and storing a breeze! AND no more sterilizing bottles...just nipples!

I love love loooooove this system! I have been pumping exclusively for 4 months now and only found this about a month ago. Before this, I was pumping and storing in Medela bottles, then transferring to Playtex liners before feeding. Then I had to wash all the Medela bottles, plus Playtex rings, etc.
With this system, I just pump right into the liners. They are so easy to just grab out of the fridge and go. I can warm a bottle with the car warmer using the self-contained liners, instead of having to bring a medela bottle to warm, PLUS a playtex system.
Overall, this has saved me several steps and less things to wash. For the dad who said it threw off the ounce markers - that is true. However, the liners themselves have ounce markings on them. Just unscrew the top ring slightly so that the liner sinks back down and then read the ounce marker on the liner. Easy!
I would not buy this system to use for storing frozen milk (if you store a lot of it). It would get too expensive for my tastes. I have two sets and that is perfect for refrigerator storage. Make sure you get two, because each box only comes with one pump adapter.

When I first started using this product I loved it! It was so nice to be able to pump directly into the liner, rather than pump into a bag that then needs to be transferred to the liner (what a mess!).
However, there were several cons to them:
1) the sealing disks start to leak after several uses
2) if you want to build up any sort of supply in the freezer, plan on spending a LOT of money because you cannot just buy extra pieces - you must buy a whole new kit, and each kit only provides storage for 4 bottles!
3) if you have a double breast pump, you have to buy 2 kits in the first place cause it only has 1 pump adaptor!
I like the playtex premium nurser, and wish the storage kit was more economical (and even if not economical, I'd like it if they didn't leak)
I recommend you save some money and buy the Gerber storage bottles, which come in a package of 4 and are very inexpensive. I haven't seen them online, but you can buy them in BRU. These are more expensive than buying the Medela or other brand storage bags - but those bags are such a pain IMO. The bottles are great because you can easily pour them into the liners.

I bought this because I have the Playtex Premium Nurser Bottle set but needed the pump adapter (for my Madela pump)and the sealing disks (which aren't sold with that set). I only pump occassionally so this works well. I use this set to pump and store if I know I will need to just refrigerate the milk for a day or two. If I store milk for longer in the freezer I use bags.
My only complaint about this is that it is not possible to put the sealing disk and the nipple in the bottle at the same time (like Medela bottles). This is annoying when I take a bottle with me (and this is mostly why I use it). It is not a big deal, I bring the nipple along in a zip lock bag, but it is something that seems like it could be easily fixed.
Overall though this has been very helpful for the occassional pumping that I do in order to leave baby with grandparents, bring a bottle to a public place where I won't feel comfortable nursing (which isn't often), or just have the flexibility of letting my husband do a feeding every now and then.
