Customer Review: excellent nursing pad!
Summary: 5 Stars

these pads are the 3rd type that i tried. the LANISOH pads were excellent in that they were thin and very absorbant. great for that early phase where engorgement and let-down creates a somewhat messy situation. the gerber definatly is not meant for the early phase, as i leaked right through them. they were definatly thin, but not very absorbant. then i decided to purchase these based on price. they are a bit thicker than the previous 2, but i feel that the absorbancy on these are great! the shape is more oval-ish, so u can choose whether to place them more wide or more long, depending on where ur leakage occurs. i also like that this pad has more of a sticky area on the back than either the lanisoh or gerber brands. the sticky area is large enough that the entire pad sticks to the bra, instead of flipping out each time u go to nurse.
all in all, i gave this product a 5 star rating and am planning on purchasing a few more boxes right now, as the price is right. less than $5 for a box is excellent!

Customer Review: There are better pads
Summary: 2 Stars

I currently using the Johnson & Johnson nursing pads and with so many nursing pad brands to chose from, I decided to give the Playtex a try because I wanted to see what the other brands offered. I don't like them at all and will not buy them again. I hate that they are individually wrapped like maxi pads. With a newborn, I am usually working with one arm. I just want to grab one or two without have to unwrap anything or have more trash. The Playtex pads bunch up also. Yes the pads are not thick, but what difference does that make if the pads bunch up? Everyone will still know that you are wearing nursing pads. I prefer the Johnson & Johnson nursing pads. Although the J&J pads are not as large as the Playtex, the J&J are thicker and don't need to be larger. They were very absorbent and did not bunch up or move around in my bra and I am not a small breasted lady (DDD). The J&J pads are a better buy.

Customer Review: packaging drives me crazy
Summary: 3 Stars

While the shape of the Playtex pads does provide more coverage than the Lansinoh, I don't think the extra coverage is as important as absorbency, and I find the Lansinoh are just as good as these in that area. The main reason I won't be buying these again, though, is the packaging/individual wrappers. The wrapper is glued to the back of the paper covering the sticker on the pad. I guess it's intended to pull the paper off when you take off the wrapper, and then you stick the pad to your bra. But I don't find the stickers necessary, so choose to leave the paper on, but then I'm fighting to rip the wrapper off without taking off the paper. The fabric wrapper doesn't rip well, and then ends up sticking to my fingers. Seriously, lesson #1 when making any product for a nursing mom--make something that can be managed with just one hand! This is just too much work.

Customer Review: Not the best pads
Summary: 3 Stars

I have tried Lansinoh, Medela, Johnson & Johnson, and Playtex nursing pads. The Lansinoh are best overall: great absorbancy, nice countoured shape, and good adhesive that stays in place without bunching up. J&J were also great, but I'd recommend them to women who size A or B since they are smaller in size. Playtex has great absorbancy but they are not at all countoured so they bulge unless you have the perfect bra that will hide a huge bulge. Medela are super thin, therefore much less absorbant, and also the core gets bunched up inside the outer lining so they are almost impossible to unbunch between feedings. The adhesive stinks too, so they don't stay in place too long. So overall I recommend J&J to smaller women (cup A or B), and the Lansinoh to larger women (cup C and above).

Customer Review: Best that I tried thus far
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried Avent, Gerber, and now Playtex and I love them! I thought the thicker the padding the better so I tried Avent but when my milk came down, I felt the moisture on my boobs and hated that. I went with Gerber b/c they are the cheapest and were thin but I would always soak them up at night and had to change my shirt. I actually had no choice but to buy Pleytex bc the store was out of Gerber and happy that they were out. I have not had one wet shirt or felt the wetness around my boobs! It def locks in the wetness away from my skin. With Gerber, I was going through a box of 60 a week but with Playtex, I only use one pair a day and two if I feel they are too full.
