Baby Products Reviews of Playtex Drop-Ins Original BPA Free Nurser Newborn Starter Set

Customer Review: Not Same as the Description
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. I actually prefer the original nursers to the "premium" ones, with the exception of the nipple (which you can buy separately, and likely will soon be moving on to the medium flow anyway). This pack gives you a lot for your money. But, I purchased it based on the fact that it (supposedly) included the eazy-feed with the built in burper, however it was not included. Upon doing some research I think it was recalled. Also, the package was so old the coupon inside expired years ago, and when I washed the brown plastic nipple, it discolored and I threw it out. So my suggestion is if you opt for this, buy some separate nipples, and buy the preformed liners.

Customer Review: The only Bottles You'll Ever Need.....
Summary: 5 Stars

I breastfeed my son and recently started supplementing with bottles. My mother highly recommended the Playtex Nursers (that's all she ever used) and bought me this set after I had terrible luck with some other bottles. My breastfed baby readily took this bottle with virtually no fussing (and less burping, gas and spitting up). After experimenting with the other nipple shapes I found that my son prefers the regular shaped nipple, but I liked that I could try them all out with one purchase. I've recently bought some extra Older Baby nipples, and of course, liners, but other than that, this set has provided me with more than enough "equipment" and I'm sure it's the only set of bottles I'll need.

Customer Review: Mom of two
Summary: 5 Stars

I have nursed both my sons and both have accepted this brand of bottle over many other brands. The bottles make cleanup quick and easy. Many generic liners fit these bottles helping you save money. There is a wide selection of nipples. My first son liked the soft clear blue dome style while the other insisted on only the grooved brown style. Heating isn't always the easiest since you can not boil or microwave in a pinch but they do work with many bottle warmers. These bottles are very economical and have been around for a long time. This alone speaks for the brand. look for their sippy cup nipple that fits on the bottles. It's a great transition without having to buy all those cups!

Customer Review: She finally takes a bottle!
Summary: 4 Stars

Two weeks after my daughter was born, I had to introduce her to a bottle. I chose the AVENT system, since that's what many moms recommended to me because I was exclusively breastfeeding. My daughter struggled to use them for 3 weeks, and then just started playing with the nipples. After trying a couple of others, I finally switched to this system, and found success!! I love not having to sterilize after each feeding, the drop in liners, and being able to pump breastmilk directly into the bags. My daughter still likes the infant nipple almost as much as the breast, and is a much happier baby. So, if you're a breastfeeding mom having trouble introducing a bottle, try this system!

Customer Review: Don't buy these bottles
Summary: 1 Stars

I registered and received this starter kit for my shower, after several friends said that it was the best bottle out there. The first thing I noticed is that it is difficult to see how much your baby has eaten (when you try to burp after every ounce). I finally got the hang of how long it took her to eat an ounce, so that wasn't a huge issue. However, I found that everytime I set the bottle down so that I could burp my daughter, the bottle liner would fill back up with air, so I'd have to squeeze it out again. This was such a pain with the 4 oz. bottles (it's hard to squeeze out all of the air when there is only an ounce left), so I switched to the vent aire (and love them!)
