Baby Products Reviews of Playtex Drop-Ins Original BPA Free Nurser Newborn Starter SetCustomer Review: Wonderful Bottles! Summary: 5 Stars
I recieved these bottles at my baby shower from a friend. I had originally planned on breast feeding, but soon changed my mind. For the first 3 months my son had colic and was put on Enfamil's Nutramigen. This formula leaves a waxy coating on any surface and does not come off with just soap and water. The Drop-in liners were wonderful because I didn't have to sterilize the bottles after each use. They can also be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher to be cleaned thoroughly, which I did once a week. Playtex also make many different nipples. After trying my son on the traditional nipples, I switched to another type, and did not have to buy all new bottles. The liners are also great because you can push all of the excess air out before feeding. And now that my son holds the bottle himself, I know that he will only be drinking the formula instead of air. The Drop-ins make it easy to prepare bottles while holding onto your child. The designs are great on the bottles. I would recommend these bottles to everyone.

Customer Review: Mom/Daycare provider - Love this product Summary: 5 Stars
I am a mother of a 3 month old and 4 year old. I also run a daycare out of my home. I am using Playtex with by newborn, as well as used it with my older daughter, and have had great success with it. I like the standard bags better myself becuase they are cheaper. I buy the Target brand of liners and they work fine. As a daycare provider, I like the Playtex system because I only have to rinse out the nipple after a feeding (leaving formula in a regular bottle all day makes for a tough time for mom at home). I also like that my breastfeeding moms can freeze their milk in a bag and all I need to do is set it in a glass of warm water to thaw and heat. You can close the bag by folding it over and securing with a paperclip or piece of tape (as long as you don't need to store your milk for an extended period of time) and store in an upright position in the freezer or refrigerator. I recommend this product to all my parents and friends.
Customer Review: Thank Goodness I Didn't Pay For These! Summary: 2 Stars
I had received a couple of these bottles at my baby shower and decided to give them a try. I had been using the J&J Healthflow and Evenflo systems, but I thought that with the Playtex system being easier to clean and more convienent (which is why I gave it 2 stars), why not see if baby likes it. My 1 month old son hated it!!! He has an impossible time figuring out how to grasp onto the nipple and gets so frustrated that he loses interest in eating. when he did finally get how to grasp on to it, it took him 20+ minutes to eat 4oz, which believe me is forever!! Plus they say that with the collapsable insert there's little gas, well from the burps my son was ripping I beg to differ. He had just as many burps with the Playtex as he had with the other systems. Rather than have it take up space in my cupboards, I gave it to a friend of mine who is expecting and happily went back to the Johnson & Johnson and the Evenflo.
Customer Review: Baby Bottle Buffet Summary: 5 Stars
Even though this appears to be out of stock, I have seen it at many stores, and it is well worth the trip to purchase it. The Playtex nurser has been around for a good long while, and for good reason. It works. This sampler package provides a great opportunity for parents and babies to test and see just which of the products work best for them. It comes with two different size bottles, two types of liners, and several types of nipples. I find that the drop in liners are so much easier to use, even though they are more expensive. There is, however, a major 'neighborhood' drugstore chain out there which sells their own brand of drop in liners, and they work just as well at a much cheaper price. They don't come in the dispenser package like the real McCoy though, so I just saved the Playtex box and refilled it. Bottom line-nice selection, trusted brand, easy to use, great deal.
