When I was pregnant, I read rave reviews about the Diaper Genie system. I remember thinking, "There's no way this thing is actually as great as people claim." I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so I bought one. My son is now 14 months old and this thing has been absolutely amazing! I literally couldn't smell anything, and when I could smell the tiniest whiff, it was already filled to the brim, needing to be taken out & changed anyway. I haven't had any problems with it in the little over a year that I've had it. It is worth every single penny. I was a tiny bit hesitant on purchasing it just because the refills seemed to be a tad pricey when you add it all up. But if you order the 3 pack through Amazon, it isn't too bad! I love this diaper pail! I bought this one for my second child and it is well worth the money. My daughter is six weeks old and I've only had to put the refill in once. And even though the diapers are in there for so long there is no smell in the nursery. You'd never know we had dirty diapers in there. We had the diaper champ with our son and stopped using after only a few weeks as that diaper pail didn't contain the smell. The refills are very easy to replace, and the pail itself is very easy to put together. I love that there is a pedal to step on to open it, and that you just have to drop the diaper in. It is also the perfect height, not too tall, not too short. I would recommend this to any new parent, or anyone looking for a new diaper pail.Customer Review: Prefer the Genie II over the Elite

We have a diaper genie II for our first child, I love it - it is easy to use and keeps the smell out wonderfully, and I have a very sensitive sense of smell. When we found out we were having twins, we needed another pail for their nursery since the first child is still in diapers. I saw the Elite, and thought it would be just like the original II, but with the step pedal, a little easier to operate. We have been using this for two months now and have moved it to the garage since we can't stand how it doesn't keep the smell out. Every time it is opened, you get a whiff that lingers for some time. With the number if diapers we are changing, it is too much. We are moving the one from our toddler's room to the nursery and stepping up his potty training.Customer Review: Use this to dispose of cat litter waste!

I was lucky to come across a posting that recommended this to dispose of cat waste. Remodeling our basement put us in closer proximity to the litter box than we wanted to be. Tired of running to the garage to dispose of litter in the trash can (where it reeked in the summertime heat) I bought this to keep next to the litter box.Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Large, Green and Beige. So far it has been great. I use clumping litter in the box and dispose of the waste daily in the Diaper Genie. No more grocery store bags, no more smell. After doing research for regular cat litter disposal systems and being disappointed with most of the reviews, I began to wonder about diaper disposal systems and how they would work for cat litter disposal. Sure enough I found a review for the Diaper Genie II Elite indicating just that. I am happy to report it is the best thing ever. I have no complaints and it has simplified my life. I now use the clumping litter which makes things even simpler than using regular litter and keeps from having to change the litter box so often.
