Customer Review: Wretched Sippy Cup

This is unfortunately the only sippy cup my daughter will drink from, and she's pretty stubborn on that point. The two stars I give it are her stars.
I find it extremely difficult to clean and often find there is build-up of mildew in the valve and spout. Perhaps this isn't such an issue for people who use the cups only at the high chair and then immediately take them apart and throw into the dishwasher. For me, however, it is a repeated issue. I'm boiling the different parts right now and am so annoyed at how frequently I do this that this is what inspired me to write this review.
I also found, as did another reviewer, that the spout does indeed break apart. The manufacturer's warning does state that this cup should not be given to children who cannot be told not to chew on the cup. Have you ever tried to reason with a teething 1-year-old? Perhaps, this shouldn't be a "First Sipster" if that is the case!
I also find the price of this sippy cup a little exorbitant, particularly given it's drawbacks.
I cannot tell you how much I'm looking forward to the day when we transition to regular cups!
