Baby Products Reviews of Philips Avent iQ Bottle WarmerCustomer Review: Junk Summary: 1 Stars
First one purchased from Amazon was defective right out of the box (and yes, we read the instructions). The problem was that neither of the buttons worked on the front panel. So, Amazon sends us a second one and we return the first. The second one worked for about 5 days (and when it worked it was quite nice), then the front two buttons stopped working. So, Amazon sends us a third and we return the second. The third one was also defective right out of the box (same problem as the other two).
I called Amazon to tell them the problem, but they suggested I call Phillips. So, I call Phillips and tell them what happened. Big mistake, they could have cared less. Said "must have come from a bad batch". We're done with this bottle warmer and with Phillips, will try the one from The First Years.
Customer Review: Another lifesaver. Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't get this until my baby was about a month old. If I had to do it over, I'd get it right away. There's some experimentation involved in getting the bottle to the right temperature, but it's still a billion times easier than trying to heat up bottles in a pan. The main thing to remember is to hold the button down after selecting the "ounce level" ... to activate the warmer. Initially, i wasn't doing that... it's not that intuitive... and had a mini "i bought this and, out of the box, it's not working" heart attack. Yes, i know, sometimes small things get to me. Anyway, this warmer works great and is usually fast enough even when our baby is fussy. It's also almost identical to the ones our daycare uses; if it's good enough for the pros, it's good enough for me.
Customer Review: Nice idea/design, but doesn't actually warm bottles!!! Summary: 2 Stars
At first, when I got it, I thought it did a great job...but within weeks, I found it was very inconsistent with warming the bottles. Now 4 weeks later, it rarely warms a bottle if you follow the directions exactly (1oz of water and the actual volume of milk programmed). I usually put in more water and set it to a higher volume in an attempt to get warmed milk, but I still have yet to find the right combination. When I take the bottle out, the bottle itself is like scalding hot, but the milk inside is still cold! Also, I have born free bottles so I don't know if that makes a difference - but it really doesn't work well. I can't compare to other bottle warmers bc this is the only one I have used...maybe they are all inconsistent.
Customer Review: Not worth the $$ Summary: 1 Stars
I read the mixed reviews before buying this product but wanted to have my own opinion and now after trying to use it for almost 9 months I definitely think is not worth it. The product is hard for my mom, who is older, to use it so she goes the old fashioned way of sinking in hot tap water. For me I never seem to get the right temperature, either too cold or too warm. Also I hate that does not come with a water measuring container; for the price you pay for this it is a must. My sister has a much simpler one that costs [...]bucks and for my second child I'm going to save hers and give this one away.
Customer Review: Do not buy this bottle warmer! Summary: 1 Stars
This might be the worse product that I have ever purchased. First of all, I hardly ever get it on. Instead of starting the heating process the push on the "start" button just moves me up the volume display. If I manage to get it on, it is most often with another volume indicated. The few times that I did manage to get it on with the right volume indicated, the milk gets either too cold or too warm. I am so frustrated with this product that I am now going to return it to Philips. If I get another replaced product and it works, I will happily write another review (hopefully better!)
