Customer Review: Excellent storage system for breast milk, baby food and snacks
Summary: 5 Stars

I really love these handy little storage cups and have had few problems with them. I used them for regular pumping and freezing with my first child for almost a year, used them to store his solid foods and snacks after that, and now use them again with my second baby. They are portable, stackble, space saving, and I pump directly into them, so easy. Also, they can be reused multiple times. After quite a few dishwashings and freezings you will notice they need to be replaced, but until then I have kept re-using them.

Unlike other reviewers I have not had trouble with the screw-on tops. You either do it right and they close perfectly, or screw them on wrong and they will leak. They often fall over in my bag between work and home and as long as I close them properly, they never leak! There are two sizes for these, and neither of them should be filled to the very top or they will oveflow. The lids need some space to close. Therefore, I use 8 oz cups to freeze 6oz portions of milk, and the 6 oz cups for anything smaller. My milk usually goes in the fridge first before the freezer, and when it's cold it's harder to write on the plastic. I generally write the date and amount on the side with a piece of scotch tape instead.

Customer Review: Avent milk storage
Summary: 5 Stars

Excellent product. Used it before with my daughter and now with my son. It is ideal, you express, you store and when ready to use it just thaw and add the adapter. No need to switch to bottles that can eventually contaminate the milk. Tried to use bags in the past and it was a total mess, lost a lot of the milk trying to pass it to a bottle. One concern, I have a small freezer and they tend to take a lot of space. I loop around it by freezing enough for a month when back to work and freezing a container as I thaw one. Sort of like a "use/replace system". I totally recommend this product.

Customer Review: Good, would buy more
Summary: 4 Stars

I really don't get why so many people had problems with these. I used them for baby #1 & now #2. I used them more than 3 times too. I did not have leaking issues IF I didn't overfill them. Both of my babies didn't take more than 4 oz at a time, and that's usually what I stored in them. I then thawed them and poured them into Avent bottles. I work full time, and I pump at work. I usually fill up 4 containers a day, I only wish they held more, so I wouldn't have to keep buying so many containers, but again--I didn't want to overfill the containers, that's when leaking occurs.

Customer Review: Leaks
Summary: 1 Stars

I got this system thiking that it would be great to have something stackable and convienent to use. I was so upset when the containers began to leak. I was even careful not to wash in the dishwasher- thinking that might be the reason for the leaking. I had my milk leak at least 5 times before I gave up.

Customer Review: Good storage system
Summary: 4 Stars

These containers are a bit pricey at first blush, but the insert says they can be reused until they are 'visibly worn.' They do tend to take up a lot more space (obviously) than bags, but I don't have more than 3 boxes worth in my freezer anyway, since breast milk does have a shelf life.
I used bags with my first child, and I think the fact that these are reusable makes the cost worthwhile. I have not had any problems with leaking at all. In fact, when I used bags, I had more problems, because the milk would expand in the bag when it froze, and sometimes that expansion would tear the bags. You wouldn't know until you started to thaw them out.
I pump once a day, one hour after nursing, and pump anywhere from 2-4 ounces from each breast (with a 4 week old). I would recommend buying at least 2, maybe 3 packages if you are a working mom. These are a bit difficult to find in the stores right now for some reason.

Oh, and as far as only being able to write on the name and date lines one time, I write my daughter's name on them, but write the date on a piece of tape that I can replace when I reuse them.
