Baby Products Reviews of Philips Avent Express Microwave SterilizerCustomer Review: Works for Other Bottles Besides Avent Summary: 4 StarsWhen researching bottle sterilizers, it was important that it could work with various brands of bottles. Although this is an Avent brand, it works with other bottles, too. I purchased several bottle brands to see which one my newborn would like best (Avent, Dr. Brown's, Playtex Ventaire, MAM, Sassy, Evenflo, Born Free). All of them fit in this sterilizer. You have to be creative with where you place all the parts and pieces and even if the little spots in this sterilizer aren't designed perfectly to fit with other brands, you can make it work.
My ONLY complaint is that when I have to go up to the 8-9 oz. size bottles (I'm using Playtex Ventaire exclusively now), they won't fit in this thing because the bottles are too tall and the cover won't fit on it and I'm already depressed about that because this sterilizer is a life-saver! I can't imagine the days when you had to boil water on the stove everytime you needed to sterilize bottles! This thing is so easy--2 minutes in the microwave and then let it sit for a minute and off to the bottle drying rack because obviously the bottles are wet from the steaming.
