Very handy item to have available. Heats faster than boiling and more efficiently/safely than the microwave. The only problem I've found is that the heating instructions included with the warmer are overestimated. If you set it to a lower temperature (between 1 and 2) and let it warm longer, it's easier to prevent overheating.
This warmer DOES HAVE an ON/OFF SWITCH, but still no built-in timer (the oven timer works just fine).
And as far as the bottle floating around during heating, you can put the bottle in BEFORE you add the water, and fill up the water to the same level as the liquid in the bottle to prevent uneven bobbing.
My son is now 1-year-old and no longer uses bottles, but I still use this warmer for his refrigerated baby food and even to warm up a cup of milk for him.

I have been using the Avent Express Bottle and Babyfood Warmer for almost one month and it works great every time! It heats the formula evenly and to the same temperature as long as you follow the directions. I also use it with Dr. Brown bottles and it works great! Although my warmer has the on/off switch, I agree that there should be a timer or alarm that signals when the bottle is ready, as this is the only problem I have...getting distracted with my newborn and leaving the bottle too long in the warmer! Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. I like the convenience of using it at night upstairs in my bathroom, along with formula stored in a cooler bag, so that you do not have to go downstairs in the middle of the night. This warmer is for sure the best on the market right now. I say this since I went through just about every other warmer out there and had to return them due to overheating and inconsistance with warming bottles. After I purchased the Avent warmer, I had a perfect bottle every time. It takes a little longer to heat the bottles then other warmers I had purchased, (7 minutes for an 8 ounce bottle) but do to the fact that the bottle is not overheated and the aggrevation of having to dump out formula and then add cold formula it is well worht the extra couple minutes of waiting. The only thing that the warmer lacks is an on-off switch, but I still give it a 5 star rating due to the fact that I have used all other warmers and none of them performed like this one. I am taking the time to write about this bottle warmer. I had rec'd a different one for my shower. It was horrible, it heated the bottle by "steam" and it never really would heat it! I have a two story home so it seemed like a necessity to have a bottle warmer for late night feedings. Well for only $10 more the Avent express bottle warmer is wonderful. I can't believe how quickly it heats up bottles. I know a lot of people don't like how it does not have an auto shut off but it does not bother me at all! Even though you are have awake at 3 am you still can look at a clock to see that 4-5 minutes have gone by!! Besides your baby will remind you if you actually fall back off to sleep! I am really happy with this warmer and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable warmer!Customer Review: This warmer lacks important features

Not knowing what to look for in a bottle warmer, I was attracted to this model because it was small in size and didn't take up a lot of counterspace. I have no complaints about its warming capabilities, but after using the warmer several times, I found I really needed a few more features than it offered:The unit does not have an automatic timer, which means YOU have to keep up with how long the bottle has been in the warmer. And when you are trying to deal with a fussy infant, it's easy to lose track of time and overheat the bottle.
The unit has no Off/On switch and must be unplugged after each use.
Another small annoyance is the bottle does not sit flat, but floats unevenly in the water while heating.
I finally purchased another model which included these features.
