Baby Products Reviews of Philips Avent Digital Baby Monitor with Zero-Interference DECT TechnologyCustomer Review: Worth the money Summary: 5 Stars
This monitor is definitely worth the money. We have been using it with our newborn for about a month now and love the results. There is no static interference so you can hear your baby crystal clear. We also have digital cordless phones and wireless internet that do not interfere with the signal at all. Synching the base with the peripheral monitors is simple and explained well in the manual. Range has not been an issue as we can be anywhere in our 4 level loft as well as outside with no signal interruptions. Have not used the nighlight or lullabyes yet but am excited to try them out. Overall I have nothing negative to say about this monitor at all.
Customer Review: This is the ONLY one to buy Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried them all or know someone who has. Regardless of brand name, baby monitors are ALL JUNK. All except this one. I don't know why this particular segment of the electronics industry is lagging so far behind technologically, but Philips is the only company that seems to be taking baby monitors seriously. The range is excellent, (four houses away, both units indoors) the sound is clear, no interference whatsoever. Makes no noise until baby makes noise, no static to listen to. An unmatched list of features, very compact base and parent unit. Most importantly, THIS THING ACTUALLY WORKS! Other baby monitors are just paperweights.
Customer Review: Great monitor! Summary: 5 Stars
We're new parents and for the first 3 months had a conventional "noisy" monitor. When we got this one, the first few nights we could not get used to the "silence" in our bedroom. We love the fact that it automatically links itself in any available channel. The only thing is that the rechargable batteries that came with the monitor (for the parent unit) are not working properly: Even though we charged them like it explains in the instructions, every time we take the parent unit out of the base, the batteries die before the 8 hours it promises. We will buy new batteries, but appart from this, we think this is a GREAT monitor.
Customer Review: Great product, high price. Summary: 4 Stars
Great product, pros are that everything is as advertised with an exception of the battery life ( lasts only a few hours, and takes all day to charge ). The menu's are not user friendly. Talk back feature is most used, not to talk to the baby , but for my wife to bug me to get her some juice when i'm working haha. Searched the internet for a better price than $199 but couldnt find one for any cheaper. I held out until i found it for $175 from another website and decided to go for it. $199 is a bit steep. If only they used a battery pack instead of cheap rechargable batteries. either way no regrets.
Customer Review: EXCELLENT Baby Monitor Summary: 5 Stars
Have tried many different brands and bands and this one is simply the best. Volume could be louder on the unit, but if you use the lights that indicate noise or activity and then listen to the activity, you are in business. I am just used to my old 900Mhz units that had MAJOR volume and lights. It is so nice not to have to worry about your neighbors picking up your conversation or interference with Wifi or any other radio transmitting devices in your house (including the microwave oven). I have the two parent unit version, but would have bought the LCD unit if they had two parent units available.
