I'm very unhappy and disappointed with these bottles. besides the bottles leaking between the bottle and the ring the flow is too fast for a newborn. i also bought the starter set that comes with newborn nipples and still the flow is way too fast for my 1 week old daughter. when i feed her the formula comes out so fast she just ends up spitting most of out and then she chokes. i didn't want to give up on these bottles so fast especially because i bought 9 of them! so i went to the store to see if i can find "real" newborn nipples. Well the ones that I did find which are the ones that came with the set are for babies 3+ months. Not helpful to me right now. So I just basically wasted a lot of money on these bottles. We'll see how the disposable Avent bottles work. Right now I switched to the Playtex disposable bottles and DO NOT have a problem at all with these. this is my 3rd child so i've tried a lot of different bottles and always seem to go back to the disposables. Also the Playtex Vent Aire bottles are really good too.i read the review from "claire's mom" on how to stop the bottles from leaking which i have to admit did help but because they are that complicated i don't like them not to mention the fact the nipple flow is not for a newborn.

I started out exclusively breastfeeding for the first 2.5 months.I have decided to go to bottlefeeding at least part time and thought I would try the Playtex disposables because I don't have a dishwasher and I thought they would be more sanitary. I found out that I really don't like disposable bottles! It's such a pain to have to buy the liners all the time and hard to tell how much the baby has taken. Also, because I was still breastfeeding part time, I didn't want my baby to have nipple confusion. I had gotten the microwave sterilizer as a shower gift and it had come with 2 Avent bottles. I decided to give them a try. My baby girl loved it! I went and bought 2 3-packs of the 4 oz bottles. I didn't get the 9 oz because they came w/ a faster flow nipple and my baby still only drinks 3 or 4 oz at a time. My daughter does really well with the newborn nipple still even though she is almost 3 months old. I haven't had any trouble with leaking. I just keep in mind that cranking down on the ring can make it leak.I just wash them w/ soap and water and stick them in the sterilizer. These are really the best bottles I've ever tried and I've done my share of trying bottles! This is my fourth baby and I really wish I had these when my other baby's were on a bottle!!!Customer Review: Frustrating and an inconvenience!

I recently purchased the Avent Nuatural bottles (not disposable) and I am very unhappy. With my first son, I used the playtex ventair system. I decided to utilize this product with my second son due to the fact that I was nursing and the nipples facilitate transition to the bottle. However, I have experienced nothing but frustration and inconvenience with this system.1. Firstly, I purchased stage 1 and 2 nipples. Both nipples leak from the sides of my son's mouth so that I have clothes & burp clothes saturated with formula. The bottles also leak. In the FAQ section of the AVENT WEB SITE they suggest not closing the ring so tight. That's ridiculous!! In the middle of the night who has the energy to be bothered! I have two son's only 15 months apart.
2. My baby was premature and has some oral aversion & the nipple length is so large it occasionally gags him.
3. Last but not least, the bottles are so large that they take up so much room in my diaper bag. I can't even find a dishwashing rack to fit the nipples & rings and just as they take up my whole top rack of the washer.
Babiesrus do not return used or opened bottles so I am stuck with these. I wish I had used the vent aire system again!

I had nothing but leakage problems with these bottles. I contacted the company and they told me all these different tips of assembling the bottles that should stop leakage. Needless to say none worked. Luckily for me I was able to return the larger bottles. I am although stuck with eight of the smaller ones. First off let me say when you are sleep deprived you dont' want to be worrying if the bottle lip has a drop of water on it that will cause it to leak or if you have over tightened or under tightened. There is no time to worry about all these little things when you have a hungry screaming baby. The bottles are by far not cheap and there shouldn't be so many issues. I have many friends that have said that theirs leaked as well...too bad they didn't tell me before I registered for them. Oddly enough if you buy a bottle in the .99 cent store you don't have all these issues. When I returned the larger ones to Babies R US there were a lot of other returns as well. I will give these to my daughters to play with their dolls. In addition to the leakage I noticed that my son was extremely gassy and would cry so much after eating. I have told my friends who are registering now to save their money and find an alternate bottle.Customer Review: LOVE LOVE LOVE EM!

I have had these bottles with my now 2 1/2 year old and his now 4 month old little brother. They work great and are very durable. These have been dropped, sterelized, boiled, thrown, kicked, bitten, EVERYTHING and they still hold up! If you use the bottle correctly there are no leaks and it is very simple. They also work wiht the Avent Isis Breast Pump. My sons will only take to the "natural" nipple, and avents got it! The flow is not too fast, nor is it too hard to get it to come out! The available covers work nicely for carrying them and making sure the nipple is sanitary. The wide-neck allows for easy cleaning too, I never spend more than 2 minutes scrubing a bottle. They also are great for the "Magic Cups", those are sippy cups with a soft spout that are no-spill, (made by Avent), my 2 1/2 year old uses them and I dont have to buy a whole set of sippy cups because that top fits on any avent product! These bottles also fit very well in almost any cup holder (unlike the playtex) and greatly reduce my little ones gassy problems. I love these bottles, and the ventair is second, but a VERY far second, Avent is deffinatly much much better and actually do what they say they do, REDUCE GAS! What a lifesaver
