Heats Gently and Evenly
The AVENT Bottle/Food Warmer heats up bottles and food safely and evenly. Unlike microwaves, this warmer won't cause hotspots, so you can be sure the internal temperature is safe for your baby.
Takes Bottles, Magic Cups, and Food Jars
All AVENT bottles, magic cups, and food jars fit in this warmer. Place baby food jars and filled bottles directly in the unit. When they're heated through, you can put the contents of the food jars in the included bowl to keep them warm.
Fast, Easy Operation
This warmer is easy to operate--just plug in and flip the on/off switch on the back of the unit. A neon light lets you know the unit is on and working. An included instruction guide makes it easy to calculate the correct heat-up time.
Operation involves adding water and turning the dial. The unit works quickly--it heats up 4 ounces of room temperature milk in approximately four minutes.
A light blinks to indicate that the contents are properly warmed to a safe temperature. To be sure, always test the internal temperature before giving to babies.

Customer Review: Better Than Steam
Summary: 5 Stars
The Avent Bottle Warmer uses water (not steam) to heat the milk. Tried both steam & water bottle warmers, water bottle warmer is much better.
Advantages:
1) A must if glass bottles are used. If steam is used on glass bottles, there's a greater potential for breakage due to the sudden temperature change.
2) Better control of the temperature of the milk because you can take the bottle in and out & test it on your wrist as needed. With bottle warmers that use steam, you cannot take it out mid-cycle, and often the milk overheats or is still somewhat cold.
3) After burping the baby, the milk sometimes gets cold - just put it back into the warm water for a few seconds to warm it back up.
4) Amount of time required to heat the bottle is just right. Start warming the bottle (on setting #3) before changing the baby's diaper, and by the time the new diaper & bib is on, the bottle is ready. Sometimes the bottle may actually overheat if you are not fast enough, if so, just place the bottle in cold water & it reaches the correct temperature within seconds. Therefore, keep a container of cold water next to the Avent bottle warmer to: (a) Refill the water in the bottle warmer, and (b) to cool overheated bottles.
5) Always have the bottle warmer's water level at the same level as the milk for the most efficient warming. Setting #3 is almost always used. Haven't figured out the function of setting #2 yet. But Setting #1 (the lowest heat) is great to slowly warm & maintain the correct temperature of the milk. For example, while the milk is warming on setting #1, give the baby a bath - by the time the bath is done, the milk is ready at the perfect temperature & is never over- or under- heated.
Disadvantages:
1) Stagnant water in the bottle warmer needs to be changed, else mildew accumulates.
2) Sometimes when refilling the water (so the the water is at the same level as the milk), the water overflows. Solution: place a towel under the bottle warmer.
3) Bottle is wet when taking it out of the bottle warmer. Solution: Keep a small towel available to wipe the bottle dry.
