Baby Products Reviews of Philips AVENT Baby Monitor with Temperature and Humidity Sensors, White/BlueCustomer Review: Sleek and Functional Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
It took me a while to write a review for this product because I really wanted to have a solid test before I offered my opinion. As of this writing we have an 11 week old baby and use this monitor quite frequently. I think it is unique to have the temperature and Humidity sensor in the monitor as we live in a very dry climate and it helps us regulate the humidifier in our daughter's room. I have really had 0 problems with this moniter. It is great to travel with and easy to use.
The 1 large down side is that the main unit sucks the life out of batteries extremely fast. In cases where we have accidently left it on for 2 days, the batteries are dead. It does come with a regular adapter, however it is at times inconvenient to have the monitor plugged in while being close enough to the baby.
We haven't used the talk to baby portion very much because our daughter is not old enough. However, it does work nicely and I look forward to using the function when she is older and we may be able to calm her down without having to go into her room.
Overall I think this is a great product but may be on the expensive side. If you are willing to fork out the cash then you will get a quality device in return.

I really like this baby monitor. I feel its high-cost is justified by its high quality. The build is great and the feature-set is rich (although it lacks video). As long as you need all the features, this monitor is a great value.
Here's my breakdown:
Pros:
Great range - worked from my second floor corner to the opposite first floor corner.
Great clarity - like promised, the sound quality is crystal-clear
Nice size - the units are MUCH SMALLER than the Amazon pictures portray them. Check the measurements.
Cons:
Pricey
No video (at this price, I feel it should have video)
Neutral:
Humidity and temperature gauges - for me (in CA) this seems like overkill. I guess I can see why people in other parts of the country may appreciate these features though.
In conclusion, this is a great monitor as long as you don't want video AND you need humidity and temperature gauges. If you don't want these two features, there are probably better/cheaper options available.
Recommended with reservations.
Customer Review: Great Baby Gift Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
My neighbor just had twins, so I gave this to her. She loves it. I helped her set it up and we tested it.
Great things about this baby monitor:
* Temperature accurate
* Privacy - we were unable to listen in with my son's walkie-talkies
* Great range - reception was crystal clear no matter where we were
* Hand unit is small enough to carry without being a burden
* Night light on unit
* Intercom feature; Press the button & talk to the room unit
* Hand unit beeps if it cannot connect to room unit
* Alarms for out of range temperature or humidity
Other stuff:
* We didn't have a way to test the humidity but it seems accurate
* lullabies sound a little scratchy
* No battery backup for base unit
* Awkward manual
Overall, this is a great unit. My neighbor is thrilled with it and says it gives her freedom at naptime and bedtime. Also, with small babies, temperature and humidity are very important, so these features have been very helpful.
Customer Review: Another excellent monitor from philips Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I have previously had the chance of testing the Philips Digital Monitor (Same line, just a simpler model).
This is an excellent line of baby monitors. The DECT technology ensures you have a pretty good sound quality with no interference.
I used to have one of those cheap baby monitors you get at baby showers. I used to get interference from my neighbor's (across the hall apartment) all the time.
I haven't truly tested the allegedly 1,000ft range, but I have tested it from my neighbor's apartment, as well as from the garage.
Comparing to the other model I have reviewed (Avent Digital Screen Baby Monitor - DECT), this model adds a few extra features, like Humidity sensors and out of range warning, but these are features I don't use and probably won't use. So if you're looking for an excellent Baby Monitor and want to save a few bucks, you can go for the simpler model, which is still quite good.
Battery life, sound quality and range have been quite the same for both models.
Customer Review: Muy buen producto Summary: 5 Stars
