The bottles leak! When I complained at Avent's website, the response was that I should use some water around the nipple ring so the seal is tight. What kind of design is that? I've had several occasions where the milk leaked as soon it was tilted to go into the baby's mouth. It is very frustrating when you have to open the bottle and try re-sealing it several times while the baby is screaming. Besides the fact, it is annoying when breastmilk goes waste because of the bottle design. For what you pay for the bottles, I had expected better quality. I would definitely not recommend these bottles to any of my friends.Customer Review: Great Bottles that are worth the money!

I've used these bottles since the birth of my 7 month old son. They are wonderful! They can be pricey but it's well worth the money. He's never had any tummy problems. My sister who had a colicky baby switched to these bottles and saw a difference. It wasn't a cure all but it helped. Also, I know that a lot of people say the leak. If you put the bottles together correctly they will not leak. It's just a matter of getting the hang of it. Plus, Avent offers training handles for these bottles that you can use for sippy cup training. This is a awesome product and I would recommend to friends and family.Customer Review: Leaky but compact

I like the bottles, and they came highly recommended in several baby books, but they do leak--- a lot! I will hold the bottle upside down in the sink before packing it and still it will leak all over the bag. Has also leaked when feeding baby. Totally unpredictable and extremely frustrating, esp with a newborn and don't have a lot of ozs with you. I always pack the bottles now in a freezer duty zip lock and bring extra milk. Total pain! Also, check to see which nipple is good for a newborn (i.e. nipple marked "1").
Positive is that the bottles are more compact than Dr Brown's (way too tall).

Due to some latch issues, my daughter who is exclusively breastfed had to start drinking expressed milk out of bottles at just one week old. We have been using Avent bottles, and she has never once had nipple confusion. The wide neck bottles make them easier to clean. I've never had trouble with them leaking. All the parts are interchangable with other Avent products- it will be easier to transition her to cups because of this. The fact that they are BPA free is great. I'm so glad they came out with these. We are huge Avent fans. Oh, and amazon price is better than in store price!Customer Review: A Leaky Mess!

These bottles are horrible and leak all the time! As first time parents we didn't know why our daughter was soaked after feeding until we realized that it was because the bottles leak. Even when you check to make sure and there is no sign of leaking, I've given a bottle to my daughter only to have it start leaking. There is nothing worse than listening to your child scream beacuse they are hungry, but you can't get their bottle to stop leaking. I switched over to the Platex bottles with the drop in liners and I'm so happy now (and so is my daughter!)Don't waste your money!
