Customer Review: Leaks Like a Sieve
Summary: 1 Stars

I have had it with these fancy bottles. They are a waste of money and expensive as well. I have tried many "tricks" and nothing works consistently. You think you have a handle on the leaking and the next thing you know the baby is soaking wet!!!

The baby HATES it when I take the bottle away, there's real tears!
How hard is it to make a bottle that holds liquid?
For this price you shouldn't have to have any "trick" to make a bottle work right.
I shelved all of these and got Playtex, guess what, no leaks!

I have read many mom blogs and there are quite a few "tricks" out there as this bottle had caused much grief. Do yourself a favor and skip these!
A leaky (I am not talking about a few drips, more like half the bottle in 10 seconds drains out!)
bottle is more fussing and more mess, who needs that?

Customer Review: Garbage
Summary: 2 Stars

Shape, feel, and concept all fine, but in practice these bottles just aren't worth the risk. Many people have said they love Avent bottles and have had no problems with them, but we've had nothing but trouble with the ten we own. They leak. Not necessarily every time, but more often than not. It does help to remove the nipple, wet it, and re-insert it into the ring, but this is a cumbersome, annoying operation for bottles that cost this much. And the leaking seems to get worse with age (our baby is a whopping five months old, and we have to use the nipple-wetting trick 1-2 times per feeding).

We have too much invested in these bottles to switch, but if we could send our past selves a message, we'd tell ourselves to choose a different brand. In the case of Avent bottles, you get the opposite of what your pay for.

Customer Review: We've tried most and returned to these
Summary: 5 Stars

We've tried the Playtex drop-ins and Vent-Aire models as well. Out of the three we've returned to the Avent time and time again. The drop-ins (both ring and sleeve) are nice but the nipples are very slow. There's nothing really wrong with them but just not for us. Now the Vent-Aire is a different story. Too many parts, leaks and they don't vent where they're supposed to. Avent on the other hand vent properly, DON'T LEAK and will feed the baby as quickly as humanly possible. This last point sold it for us. Imagine a 3am feeding which would you rather have: a drop-in model that take FOREVER to feed, a leaky bottle that vents improperly or one that will feed your lazy eater in less than 30 minutes (15 in most cases)? It's a win-win situation. You can get you and your baby back to bed faster and completely satisfied.

Customer Review: Leaks, leaks and leaks!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought these bottles because of the name brand. After all those horrible reviews, I thought how could such a famous brand have so many issues. I ignored the reviews and bought them. What a mistake. I am guessing the problem is at the nipple. We bought all stages but they all leaked. I bought Dr. Brown just to see the difference. I thought maybe it is because the milk might be too thin that it is causing the leak. Nop, Dr, Brown was fine. Made in England was what convinced me to buy Philips but don't be tricked by that. Not all English product are good. Now I have to but a new set and throw away Philips. It is going to cost me twice as much for the mistake. When someone tells you a pan is hot, you don't need to touch it and get burned to see if it hot. Listen to all the people, these bottles LEAK!!!

Customer Review: One of the best on the market.
Summary: 5 Stars

I can see that most of the complaining is about leakage from the bottles. First, you have to keep in mind that for some people a couple of drops are a tremendous leak specially if the product shouldn't leak at all. That's why you have to follow instruction for everything, not just baby bottles. I have used several brands including the first Avent bottles. This new BPA Free bottles bought them to replace 2 old from a different brand (I really wanted to use and try these new ones) for about 2 months already and haven't had any problems, if I ever have a leak I just screw it back and done! I even give this bottles to a friend as a gift and she cannot be happier.

Always keep in mind that people think different, this is not a bad product and will always recommend it.
