Baby Products Reviews of Philips AVENT BPA Free Bottle, 9 Ounce, Dual PackCustomer Review: Avent bottles suck Summary: 1 Stars
I have used these bottles for two years now(my 2 children are 12 months apart)and they are absolutely horrible!! They leak from the neck of the bottle and the nipple - they are just the worst. The amount of formula that has leaked onto my kids bibs and clothes is unimaginable. My kids are screaming they want their bottle, but wait I have to check to make sure they are not leaking first. After they drink for a while and I put the bottle down and start again - guess what - THEY LEAK AGAIN!!!!!! So now I have to stop dry up my kids, open and close bottle again - all while my poor kids are screaming because they want their formula. Oh and by the way its not like I am a young mom and dont know what Im doing - Im a 42 year old mom!!!! Do yourself a favor do not but these bottles.
Customer Review: I HATE these bottles do NOT buy! Summary: 1 Stars
here's a story: I had just gotten my baby out of the bathtub and was giving him his goodnight bottle, when I noticed some formula dripping on my arm. I looked and formula had been dripping onto my baby's shirt, down his neck to my arm and all over his hair that I just washed (and he does not like his hair washed). And it was all over my shirt and pants. Does that sound like something you want to happen to you? Try another brand. I wish I had read the reviews first! I bought 2 of the yellow tinted ones and 4 blue ones when my baby was 6 months old, and they worked fine for a while, now all of a sudden they ALL -both kinds- leak about half the time. Honestly, for how expensive these bottles are I am EXTREMELY disappointed.
Customer Review: Leaks, leaks, and more leaks Summary: 1 Stars
Count me as another frustrated parent who can't seem to solve the leak problem. Although I think it has something to do with the top/nipple portion of the bottle, it really doesn't matter. My wife are too cheap to trash these as our daughter will soon be graduating to sippy cups. This is my very first review of any product or book and was thus so profoundly motivated to share my extreme sense of frustration. Please let this and the other complaints warn prospective buyers to stay away from this defective product. Avent needs to get their act together because I am now making it my mission to dissuade parents from ever buying these bottles.

It appears that you are supposed to turn the bottle cap counter-clockwise until it "drops", and then commence the clockwise tightening. This did NOT prevent leakage. For a bottle that purports to be one of the best, this is totally unacceptable.
My wife and I have four of these bottles and have been using them, together with other brands, for almost 9 months. It's hit or miss with regards to the leaks; however, the bottle should not leak...period.
Go with Gerber. We have these as well, and they do NOT leak. You twist them on and off you go. Tried, tested and true. Sometimes the best one is the classic one.
Customer Review: Look for something Else!! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought these bottles for the first time with my second child. They are BPA free like all new products today but they leak all the time leaving a huge mess behind!! I had a hard time with the first bottle and thought it could be that just THIS bottle in particular was leaking so I bought another 2 (they'r quite pricey). So I end up with the same story, follow up every step that was recomended through all blogs even follow their website advices, just to realize this products is bad. So please if you value your money buy something really usefull or end up changing the clothes of your baby every time he drinks a bottle.
