Baby Products Reviews of PRIMO EuroBathCustomer Review: Happy baby - pleased mommy!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Before my son was born I bought him fisher price bath tub. I liked to look at it, and imagined how I would bathe my baby in it. So the time came, and Nick was born 9 lb 4 oz. Huge?! Oh yeah - he was too big for his tub. And bathing him was such a disaster :( especially when he started to jump out of it. I couldn't bathe him alone, my first hand was busy with holding him and the other one was shampooing. And my husband was showering. We tried to switch to an adult tub, but as he can't sit yet it was even more uncomfortable: my back ached, the baby was scared, and I was nervous.
When my son turned 4 months, he weighed about 20 lb I couldn't wait anymore, and again searched net for bath tubs. All I saw was about same size as fisher price. Finally after googling "my baby doesn't fit his bath tub", I found an advice from woman who recommended trying primo eurobath, date of her advice was 2001, but anyway I tried to amazon it and found it to my great surprise. After looking at customer photos I understood this is exactly what I need.
So it came, I cleaned it and we tried it same evening: Nick was so happy. He was sitting like a king on his throne in it. Primo is designed so well, like it was created just for the shape of my baby. It has space for his hands, bump doesn't let him to jump out, it's pretty high, and it also holds well.
Our bathing time became much longer. The baby was very happy, smiling all the time, and kicking the water. Mommy was relaxed for the first time, and really had fun :)))
Customer Review: Too big and slippery Summary: 2 Stars
My 9 month old son loves bath time with the Fisher Price Precious Planet Whale of a Tub. It's got anti-slip for infants and same goes for the toddler position. Only thing I did not like about the tub was that it's too shallow and my son is big for 9 month. (I'm guessing the depth has something to do with safety).
My brother who just has his daughter said his Primo tub was too big so he wanted to switch.
Pros..it's big
Cons
it's too big and waste a lot of water. over twice as much water as the FP whale tub. Which I would not mind if it was bit deeper so my son can get a better submersion but it's not any deeper than the FP whale tub.
Main problem is that Flooring is too slippery so my son was startled everytime his bum slipped against the floor. He loves bath time with his Fisher Price Whale tub since he was an infant. Always smiles and never wanting to get but yesterday for the first time, I saw him startled and whining to get out of the tub. Never once saw my son slip on the Whale tub. In fact he would rotate and splash around while taking a bath without a problem. With Primo tub he stopped dead on his track, scared that he would slip.
I supposed you can put a towel to offset the slipping problem but I think I'd rather look for another tub.
Customer Review: Roomy but SUPER SLIPPERY for older babies Summary: 3 Stars
This tub is roomy and well-contoured, but I wish I had used it only when my son was younger. Now that he's nearly one and can stand up and walk, he wants to stand up, turn around, etc., and this tub is too slippery for anything but a sitting baby. In fact, I don't think there's anything more slippery than a wet baby butt in motion meeting the sides and bottom of this tub. I've seen him slip and slide up the side and to the bottom again almost like it's the sides of a waterslide, and that's with me having my hands on him the whole time. I was so scared he was going to hurt himself. (The crotch post doesn't help b/c he gets both legs on one side of it.)
To help fix the problem, I had to buy some self-adhesive non-skid appliques from Amazon (amazingly, I went to about 6 local stores, and no one had them!) to put under where that slippery little booty goes. I still have the problem of him standing up, but at least when he tries to sit down again he doesn't slide around.
I hope in the next "revision" of this product that it's made to be non-skid. This is supposed to last until a child's 2, but once they can stand up, look out!
Customer Review: Amazing baby tub...fantastic!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I love, love love this tub! I got one of those rain forest tubs with a sling before my son was born and I liked it but once he got too big for the sling using the tub was awful!! He would slip and slid all over the place and it was so hard to clean his back and bottom and he hated bath time and so did I. Most of the tubs on the market seem to look exactly like it so I figured all baby tubs were the same and just junk!! Then I came across the Primo Euro bath and instantly loved it just from looking at it online. I ordered it and couldnt wait to try it out. It was so big and roomy and snug at the same time. He fit in it perfectly and hes a big boy! (20 lbs 5 months). I can comfortably wash him without him sliding everywhere and he loves bath time now!! I wish I would have had this tub months ago because it would have made bath time so much easier!! I HIGHLY recommend this tub to anyone with a baby. This is such a great product I wish everyone knew about this tub it so they didnt waste their money on any of the crappy, cheaply made baby tubs on the market. I also feel that the price was great for such a great investment!

This was the ONLY bathtub I purchased, based on all of the stellar reviews, and BOY was I disappointed!! My baby was only 6 pounds full-term, and this tub was HUGE!! Even with the so-called supports the tub has, she still slid all over the place, and I still had to lean over the side of the tub and hold her very carefully! She hated it and so did I, and to this day (18 months later!) she HATES the tub and we're still doing sink-side sponge baths!! If I had to do it again, I'd get one of the smaller tubs that has the sling-type support! IF YOUR BABY IS A PREEMIE OR IS JUST ON THE SMALLER SIDE, DO NOT BUY THIS TUB - IT IS JUST WAY TOO HUGE AND REALLY HAS NO
UPDATE: I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE MUNCHKIN DUCKY TUB FOR $15, AND I WAS ABLE TO GET HER TO CLIMB INTO THE TUB AND EVEN START PLAYING WITHIN THE FIRST 5-10 MINUTES OF HER LAYING EYES ON IT!! It's considerably smaller, has walls that go straight up (versus being slanted, like the Primo) all the way around, and I think it just makes her feel so much more secure and safe!! Should've gone with this from the beginning.....
