Customer Review: Terrible seat - trauma inducing!

We bought this seat to use on a vacation trip, and learned quite quickly that it was entirely unstable and didn't fit ANY of the toilet seats we wanted to use it for - not airport toilets, airplane toilets or even the hotel toilet. It slipped and slid around when we tried to put my son it, inducing screams and general terror of airplane toilets. After trying it on three different toilets on which it did not securely git, we just used the "hover" technique and accepted that we might get a little wet but our son would feel more stable rather than terrifed. On the occasions when he saw the seat on the rest of the vacation, he told us to PUT IT AWAY, IT WAS NOT GOOD and insisted it be hidden from his sight. My two year old has just started potty training and I needed something to use when we're out and about. I was a little hesitant to buy this after reading some of the reviews but I ultimately decided that there really wasn't anything else out there like this, so I went for it. Boy am I glad I did! My son really likes this--he grabs onto the handles and feels very comfortable. It's not that tricky to use and the seams are flat and smooth so it's easy to avoid pinches. I've used this everywhere--even in a port-o-potty--and it works great. It's light so you can toss it in a diaper bag and the plastic bag it comes in is a perfect carrying case. I am buying another one for my folks to use. This is definitely recommended.Customer Review: Virtually indispensable

This easily qualifies as one of the five best pieces of baby/toddler gear I've bought to date, especially for the price. It has eliminated the whole public bathroom trauma my kid suffered while training as it's made her comfortable on the "big potties" everywhere (elongated or not--seems to work equally well on both). I travel fearlessly with this in tow. I was grateful to have been alerted by another reviewer to the potential pinching hazard it poses, which I do think is real but easily avoided with minimal care.
It's lightweight and compact, fits easily in a standard bag. And it's a clean and convenient alternative to toting around a portable potty until a toddler is comfy on the big seats.

When my baby got potty trained, I bought a Fisher Price portable potty for use in the car and it's great, but i was looking for something smaller, to be able to carry in my purse. I ordered this seat in spite of all the negative reviews and I'm glad I did. If you put seat on the very front of the toilet, as one of the reviewers has already mentioned, not the back or in the middle, it works just fine. My only complaint is that it's not made of very thick plastic, so it bands slightly when my 2 year old seats on it. But if you hold your baby, while she's using the seat, as I do, it's not a problem either. I tested it on a quite a few public toilets and overall it's very useful and I'm glad I got it.Customer Review: Great traveling seat

This has been the most convient traveling potty seat we have used. Unlike other ones, it has a place toward the front for your little one's hands and prevents your child's legs from coming in contact with the filthly seat. It is also very compact. We have used it on all kinds of toilet seats and have never had a problem with it sliding of the seat or pinching legs like some of the other reviews state. The thing to remember is that it needs to be placed all the way to the front of the toilet seat so the lip on the front of the folding seat secures it. If you try to place it on like the seats used at home then, yes, you will have problems. When used correctly this seat is great.
