Baby Products Reviews of PRI EuroBath, Pearl WhiteCustomer Review: This Tub is a MUST Have!! Summary: 5 Stars
My son was a preemie 8 weeks early and weighing 4.1 pounds, he has always LOVED taking a bath. We originally gave him baths in one of the standard tubs we purchased at Target which was perfect for him at the time. But he quickly has grown out of it and all he could do was push with his legs and there was no more room for him to kick and have fun in it. So it got boring quickly!
He is now 4 months old and weighs 12.5 pounds and I did tons of research trying to find an answer to the tub situation. When I found EuroBath and read the reviews I decided we had to give it a try.
We are so glad we did. OUR SON LOVES THIS TUB and he has the best time in the evenings taking a bath. He can kick his legs and arms and he is fascinated by the splashes. I have found that bath time now gives him some "down-time". He gets to use the energy he has left and once out of the tub into his PJ's he goes to sleep easily. (Another tip is to use the Johnson & Johnson Night Time bath soap and lotion-Lavender and Camamile)
As the other reviews state, it fits snuggly into the tub so there are no worries about it moving around, his body is safely secure with the body fitting plastic around him and the best part there is plenty of room for him to grow!
I promise if you purchase this tub you wont be disappointed!
Customer Review: A Near Drowning Accident with our baby Summary: 3 Stars
This tub is a drowning accident waiting to happen! The first time we put her in it, my husband was bathing her and the water was up to her belly button. The tub is so big for a little baby like Isabella that she immediately slipped sideways and ended up face down in the tub. My husband was practically holding onto her when it happened. Needless to say it freaked us out a little, but tried it again the next night, this time with Mommy in firm control and without reckless husband! This time she reached forward for a toy and slipped right over the small barrier in front of her and ended up face first in the water. I actually had my hands on her when it happened. It took us weeks to get Isabella happy to take baths again. Needless to say, we returned the item and bought a small chair for her to sit in. I think it may be good for a larger child who has a bit more control over their body, but I absolutely cannot recommend it for an infant in the sitting position. We bought it because our baby Isabella had outgrown the sink and we wanted to be environmentally conscious and not fill up the entire tub for her. We had high hopes because of all the great feedback here on the board. The tub has a spot for infants to lay in and then a spot for them to 'graduate' to and sit up. Great concept, but just didn't work for us.
Customer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
Got this tub as an alternative to our current infant/toddler plastic tub. Our 6 mo. old was outgrowing old tub quickly and there wasn't much room to maneuver or play. I wanted to stick with the plastic tub style and got Primo tub - wish I had this all along!
Pros: Tons of space for baby now and later, securely positions baby for hands- free to bathing & playing*, white color lets baby see toys/toes more clearly, easier to wash back and rinse hair. In short, it's way easier on me to give baby a bath and bath time is fun again for baby. (Never got to try with our baby as a newborn so can't rate performance in that respect).
Cons: Tub is big so just make sure it fits the dimensions of your tub and you have space to store. Tub was a little too big for our shower/tub but when weighted down with water, it just barely fits. Wish there was a reservoir to hold soapy water (there are two bar soap trays with little divet drains so they can't hold soapy water).
Overall: Great tub, bathing fun again for me and baby, baby will definitely grow into this tub gracefully so replacing my old tub with Primo was excellent investment.
*Update: baby has slipped back a couple times when she gets really excited. So I now use put a towel under her bum and she hasn't slipped since.
Customer Review: Could not ask for a better tub!!! Summary: 5 Stars
We got this tub based on all of the reviews and have been so happy with it. We used it for our first child until she was nearly 2 and not only was it safe, but she loves taking a bath. (When we'd go on vacation and need to use a different tub, she never relaxed quite as much.) She could kick and splash without slipping!
Now, with our 2nd daughter (4 months), we're having the same experience. For both of them, they loved their bath from Day 1. Neither cried or got scared and I'm confident that it's because of how the tub is designed to hold them snug to keep from slipping, yet free to move their arms and legs.
Believe me and all of the other parents who have tried this. You can store it under the crib or in a closet; don't let the size of it deter you. It really takes up about the same amount of space as the stuff you'd need to replace it, like an infant bath and a toddler bath ring or something. Plus, it's better! Face one direction as an infant and when able to sit up, they face the other way, completely supported.
So many people try several bathtubs before getting this one, when their baby could have been happy from the first day and they'd also have saved money by buying right the first time. I would not steer you wrong on this. It's an awesome tub!
Customer Review: The Best Summary: 5 Stars
I used the safer bather (and liked it) one time before going to the EuroBath. I used the safer bather in the EuroBath when my sons was very small, and within a month or two just used the EuroBath. I love this tub. The main reasons:
1. Uses alot less water than the bath tub
2. Has a position for all age babies and toddlers, which will save money because you don't have to keep buying bath products and again it save with the water bill (My son still used the lay down position)
3. Has spots to hold things while I am re-adjusting my son
4. Has easy drain plug
5. plastic so you can dry it quickly and put up elsewhere if other members of the family use the tub.
6. White color so you can remove things floating around in the bath water, and you can easily notice things such as bug bites and such that need your attention on babies skin. (i am a paranoid mother! :))
7. Once you get your hands on it you will see that it is built to last. There are no plastic cheap parts to break or wear out. It is one solid thick mold. That means a whole lot to me.
The only bad thing about this tub is that it is large. I like large because I know I will get my 25.00 out of it since I will be able to use it for several years but again it is a pretty large item.
