Baby Products Reviews of PRI EuroBath, Pearl WhiteCustomer Review: This tub works....... Summary: 4 Stars
We spent a lot of time on discussion boards and review sites trying to decide which bath tub to buy for our baby and this is what we settled on. Although it doesn't have suction pads at the bottom, we frankly don't find it to be an issue. We were less concerned with the tub slipping than with the baby not feeling secure in the tub. With the weight of the water and the sides of our tub serving as a cushion, it is hard for the baby to move it or topple it.Pros: - Fits in our tub with enough room for one of us to get inside our tub to give the baby a bath. - Contoured well and it keeps our baby in position (well, almost in position considering how much they squirm) Cons: - Drains slowly, so every once in a while, depending on how much water is in the tub, we have to pick up the baby, drain the tub and then put the baby back in. Not an optimal solution, but not too inconvenient either. - This is much bigger than some of the other ones that we've seen, so if you prefer to bathe your baby somewhere other than the bathroom tub, this is not the baby bathtub for you. Overall, it works for us and for the price and performance it is a great deal.
Customer Review: Potentially dangerous ~ EuroBath Cracked ~ Reports with CPSC and BBB Summary: 1 Stars
I've found the manufacturer's claims this item is "durable" to be untrue. The tub literally cracked under my son's foot when he stood in it (yes, he was within the recommended age range). Fortunately, my son was not injured but he could have very easily been pinched or severely cut by the hard cracked plastic jutting out of the tub. The tub did not experience any excessive wear, other than daily baths, and was stored hanging in a closet. I contacted Primo by email to report the incident and provided them with pix of the defective tub. They wanted me to destroy the tub and then pay freight shipping charges based on a 30 lb. item for a replacement. I told them I wasn't interested in a replacement if the defects in the manufacturing process hadn't been changed or improved and I definitely was not paying for a 30 lb. shipping charge when the EuroBath couldn't even weigh 10 lbs. Here's where it gets unbelievable - after that I still am continuing to receive rude and harassing emails from some anonymous person at Primo. Primo and the EuroBath have been reported are now being investigated by the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Product Safety Commision.
Customer Review: Wish I'd had this from the start Summary: 4 Stars
We just bought this bath when our son turned about 5 months because he was outgrowing his 'conventional' baby bath. We're also in a unique situation in that we have a very large tub that we bought as part of a top to bottom bathroom remodel. I don't like having to buy new gear every few months just because our son outgrows it. This tub will clearly last our boy until he's at least 2. I wish we had gotten this when he was born because it would have made all the early bath-time struggles disappear. The tub is very large and I can see how people would struggle in a standard tub. For now, this works for us.
The one piece of feedback/improvement I have, is that our son hasn't mastered sitting balance and when he gets excited, he'll fall back and bonk his head. We bought one of those foam baby tub inserts and it sits right about where the baby's armpits would fit. So, now when baby falls back, his head hits the foam before the hard plastic. We could probably cut the foam so that it would sit more snuggly, but we haven't gotten that creative. The makes of the Primo baby might want to consider selling something like this as an accessory, too.
Customer Review: This is a GREAT bath tub! Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this tub for my three year old little boy, for when we travel or go on vacation. I do not like putting him in a tub where others have been (Ha!)... He had out-grown the tub we had bought when he was a baby, so I started looking for a larger tub. I wish I had had this tub all along! My son loves it! He like to lay both ways (meaning the end you would put a small baby or the side he is meant to be on). My son weights 29 pounds and he has plenty of room to grow. So I feel like I will still get lots of use out of it. I actually wish they would make one for toddlers this size, without the built in part for babys. It would be perfect then! The only change I would make with this tub is the stopper. The first thing my son did was take it out and all I could think was, if he loses that we are sunk! So I think they should make it to where you could unplug it to drain the water, but the plug stays intact (the entire plug comes out). Shipping was high (almost the price of the actual tub), they should have just made the price higher and offered free shipping! But overall I am so glad that I bought this tub! I would highly recommend it!
Customer Review: Drain design is horrible Summary: 3 Stars
We got this tub after using the 4-in-1 tub that constantly leaks. After reading the reviews, I assumed this would be the "tub of all tubs". While it is roomier, and the molded design fits our 6 month old pretty well, there are a few things I don't like. 1) The drain is WAAAAYYY too small. It takes FOREVER to drain the water out of it, and while waiting our son is sitting there with a film of soap that I can't rinse off because it will just fill the tub with water again. However, I intend to fix this by cutting in and adding a new 3/4" drain. A shame I have to do this myself, but I don't know what they were thinking when they put that tiny little tube on there. 2) The angle of the incline is a little too steep...with the old tub we could tilt his head back to wash his hair and keep water out of his eyes. With this tub, you can't do that...you just have to be extra careful. Also, with the angle, it's hard to clean his bottom because his weight pushes him against the bottom stop. Despite these gripes, it is a nice tub. I'll like it a lot better when I fix the drain. But at least it can't leak since it's a one piece design.
